Investigators do not suspect the unidentified man as the creator of the original Blaster worm, the Seattle Times said.
Instead, they suspect he altered the worm into the so-called B-variant, which does more harm than the original that bored into computers through a weak spot in the Microsoft MSFT.O Windows operating system, the paper reported.
The creator of the original Blaster worm has not yet been found, said the Times.
