I say I support Palestine more then Israel, because most of these people are ordinary folk trying to fight for their lands back and to bring peace to the lands of palestine. Unfortunately due to radical thinking mostly from the religion of Islam, there are suicide bombings, the killing and torturing of civilians and etc... If Palestine merely targeted military personals and left the civilians alone I would back their cause 100% Well that's just my opinion who do you support? If you support anyone at all that is.

i say support neither and let them kill each other until they run out of weapons or people to kill/soldiers to kill for them.

i'm so tired of both sides pointing fingers at the other.

Ahh...

Well, I believe in the option wherein you support the innocent civilians in those countries but have disdain for their leadership class.... also, the media in both countries/cultures do as much to stoke violence as any two generals... so, i'm against every joker who rises to power, over there, by inciting violence.

I support Palestine, obviously. Those peopel have little hope, they have no real friends, no one helping them.

However, that sad part is, is that Id support the Palestinians more if they attacked directly the Irsaeli govornment, instead of average israelis trying to make a living. Israels govornment is evil, it needs to go, period. But thier govornment doesnt sugffer from Palestinian attacks. The people do. if Israels govornment went, and they replaced it with a neutral, but strong govornment that didnt behave like thier former nazi oppressors, then there would be alot of problems solved right there. If the Israelis kicked out the racist Zionist extremists, the Arabs would have no legit reason to oppose its existance. Anything after that, they would simply be the bullies themselves.

regardless, US support for Israel is wrong. And costly.

Neither of them.

"Which muurdering people do you support" is another way. Just like Ireland, which I've lived through all my life (including being very near to a large blast in the 80's)

I've been watching this mess all my life and I'm sick of it. If there's ever an interview with a person from either side, they always shout about how bad and evil the other side is and how many innocent people of thiers are dead.

Boring. If they can't stop killing each other, then let them do it. I'm bored of it being on the news.

However, palestine does seem to be having a harder time, and Israel should stop using missiles and shooting children. Palestine should stop blowing up bus stops.

They are both wrong, but it does seem to my very uninformed eyes that palestine is the underdog.

But, I repeat, I support neither of them until they drop thier weapons.

admitidly the jews probably should'nt be there, but they are not going to go..

its like saying all the americans and austrailians should leave because the natives were there first... it just aint going to happen.. we should all live in harmony...

but infortunately the jews and the palestinians are both to stupid and relligious to work it out...

i say let them kill each other/or do something about it... sooner or later .. they are going to kill each other faster than they can reproduce which means numbers will decline rapidly... eventually they will either wip each other out or wipe one group out...

maybe the un should go and take all the weapons off the jews and the palestinians, and let them fight with bow and arrows...

but this is not going to happen...

maybe they should blow them all up to save them wiping all us out in there silly little wars...

but we cant do this as it would anger non isreal jews and not palestinian muslims....

its a no win situation....

no matter what is done somebody is going to moan about it...

what do we do?

When you were in Jr. High, did you ever encounter those 2 bumbling morons that just would not stop messing with each other? (possibly one is black one is white, or one is Jewish, and one is Muslim, etc) They were both equally stupid, and full of bravado and machismo. One time it was one's fault, the next time it was the other's. They simply woudl not stop getting in trouble. And now one works at the quicki mart and the other works in the local textile mill...and you have the distinct impression they both still get drunk and start fights with each other over whose camaro is more badass.

Israel and Palestine are two bratty, stuborn Jr High kids that simply refuse to stop. One of them has to be big enough to aloow themselves to 'get hit last' if neither allows themselves to get hit last, the violence will continue forever.

Its sad really. I feel sorry for both of them. But at the same time i wanna smack them both and tell them to shut up, and leave each other alone. They are being silly, and thier silliness kills more people every day.

I support the right to Life.
I support the end to Death.
The right to be a sovereign nation and the making of another nation for those who need one. The UN gave Israel a nation...let the UN give Palestine a nation...their Arab "brothers" are certainly not going to do so! Palestine was the "gypsies" of the Arabs. Now, they are nothing more than a hate tool, cannon-fodder to suit there aims and hatred of Israel.
The spin-less UN needs to step in this and sort it out and put an end to what is happening....with force if necessary!
I support Life and the end to the ceaseless deaths that have been going on there for decades.
I support Peace, true peace....

Springer: For every story of a Palestinian suicide bomber, there are dozens of stories of settlers attacking Palestinians, and police/IDF brutality. Problem is most of the time they are decried as Arab propaganda. If 50% of it is propaganda they still outweigh Palestinian militant bombers.

newstribune.com...

"The police allegedly detained 18-year-old Imran Abu Hamdia in the West Bank city of Hebron on Dec. 30 and dumped his body about an hour later, the Israeli human rights group B'Tselem said."

But it's always skewed. The Palestine Monitor has the same article, but alleges torture:

www.palestinemonitor.org...

"The four soldiers are charged with torturing to death a Palestinian youth Omran Abu Hamdia, 17 in last December, while others are charged with torturing Palestinians, robbery and sabotage," he added.

The Israeli mass-circulation Yediot Ahronoth reported Friday, April 25, on the shadowy operations of the Israeli brigade and interviewed victims of the Israeli terrorism.

Some soldiers of the Israeli brigade were accused of torturing Abu Hamdia to death and throwing him out of their jeep, the daily said according to sources, who requested anonymity."

And here's a SUPERB article on media bias:

www.fair.org...

"Journalists Find Calm When Only Palestinians Die"

"The deadly bus bombing in Jerusalem on August 19 was foreshadowed by a pair of suicide attacks a week earlier which killed two Israeli civilians. While U.S. media tended to portray these attacks as a return to violence after a relatively peaceful period, there were numerous killings in the weeks leading up to the suicide bombings that underscore the lack of evenhanded attention given to loss of life in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

During this six-week period of "relative quiet," however, some 17 Palestinians were killed and at least 59 injured by Israeli occupation soldiers and settlers, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. The dead included Mahmoud Kabaha, a four-year-old boy, who was sitting in the back seat of a jeep with his family at a checkpoint when an Israeli soldier shot him dead-- in a spray of bullets that the army simply called an "accidental burst of gunfire" (Associated Press, 7/25/03). Virtually none of the major U.S. news reports on the August 12 bombings alluded to the Palestinian death toll in this period, leaving out a key piece of the story: For Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, the violence had never ceased; while the Israeli attacks had decreased, there had never been anything like an Israeli cease-fire.

An Associated Press report on August 19 (filed prior to that day's bombing) did acknowledge that since June 29, "more than 20 people have been killed on the Israeli and Palestinian sides." What it didn't note was that of those "more than 20," at least 21 were Palestinian, according to the Red Crescent. "
...

So it's about perception, and unfortunately our Western media is full of slackers and cowardly editors.

Things like the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty could be considered a 'sneak attack'... in regards to what another poster said, above, and, certainly, the Palestinians probably see no moral difference between killing a child with hidden explosives and killing one with a Cobra helicopter gunship 1000 feet above a residential neighborhood.

I will not support any country that intentionally wars with another people. Israel and Palestine are both selfish bigots who won't settle for less than absolute control and power.

Both leaders are just like monsters playing chess with peoples lives. I won't support either of the murderous swine. It's only the civilians who are caught in the middle that I feel sorry for......they are the only real victims in this ridiculous squabble

Idiotic statement.

I support Palestine all the way. When people are poor and have no hope they use guerilla tactics. You people don't understand. Palestine has NOTHING. Israel has missiles, tanks, helicopters, and everything else the USA have given to them so they don't use guerilla tactics. Palestine has none of those things so they need to use guerilla and terrorist actions. That's the way it is. Now, I'm not an advocate of terrorism, but I'm advocate of doing whatever you need to do to gain freedom from the the master, by any means necessary. Israel is oppressor.

Take a look at the Colonial America. The Colonies didn't have anything either. So what did they do? They gathered people, created mobs, and they hid in bushes and they AMBUSHED British soldiers. That's TERRORISM. Of course we're not taught to believe that.

Look at the Boston Tea Party. TERRORISM. But today we call them patriots and sons of liberty. In time, Palestinians will be called patriots also.

Palestine all the way.

First, I support both peoples, I support neither Government.

Now to the TRULY idiotic statement...

Did you even think before you typed this?
Intentionally targetting civilians is NOT Guerilla tactics, It's pure terrorism. To call them anything else is idiotic.
When they begin to ONLY target IDF soldiers and a few civilians die in the crossfire BY ACCIDENT, they become freedom fighters. Not until then.
I'm not supporting Israels tactics either. The one thing I do support is the fact that when the IDF retaliates they target ARMED MILITANTS and happen to take some civilians out at the same time.
You even mentioned that Israel is far better equipped. If they TRULY wanted to wipe out the palestinians it would have happened a long time ago.
However, bulldozing neighborhoods is indefensable.
Neither side is right. Israel has the high ground in my mind if only because they, at least, wear uniforms and target legit. enemies, Not civilians.

Fry, do you know ANYONE who lives in Israel? Because I know a couple, few of my closest friends now live in Israel and if they read what you typed they will laugh because that is not the case.

The IDF does not only target militants, they target anyone they see 'suspicious'. In other words, they target all Palestinian looking people.

They've killed hundreds of Palestinian young boys, mistaking them for terrorists. And what do they say? "I thought he was a terrorist."

The media probably tells us 20% of the entire story and in that 20%, probably half are lies.

They would have a much easier time if the "enemy" would at least wear some form of identifiable(sp?) uniform (per the geneva convention). Problem is, they dress as civilians or as Rabbi's with bombs strapped to their chest. When was the last time a suicide bomber targetted a military vehicle? How about all these checkpoints? It's maybe 1% of the time if that.
If they wanted to just fight for freedom from repression they could have some honor and obey the rules of war. I think Arafat could afford to buy them some uniforms
.
As it is now they are attempting genocide against the Israelis. They even state so publicly.
Once again, if Israel wanted to just be rid of the problem they could in about 4 hours of bombing.
Who's the bad guy again?

Israel still is.

Militants won't wear identifiable. We're talking about guerilla warfare here, not the paintball world championships.

And there is a problem with that idea. That is what Hitler made the Jews do. To make Palestinians wear identifiable clothing just like the Jews were made, right before their genocide will be the ultimate hypocrisy move of the century.
