U.S. Lowers Mass Transit Threat Alert Level (moved from ATSNN)

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced that its terror threat alert level on the nation's mass transit systems will be lowered from orange to yellow today. The level was raised to orange following the 7/7 terrorist attacks on London subways and buses. The new alert level will take affect at 8 PM today.



The threat level in the U.S. was just a reactionary measure to the London bombings and was not based on any intelligence of threat to U.S. transit systems, so I'm not surprised it's been lowered so quickly. I wonder if this will stop the random searches that NYPD has apparently been doing on New York City subways.

Wait till another terrorist farts the wrong why again.. It will be all up to red or pink or whatever they have it at..

See they are getting us ready for the big picture.. Hell who knows, They might just keep doing searches and say something along these lines.... "Well, you know, we think a terrorist might come here sooner or later so hell we will do these random searches regardless of what you idiots say."

Not to mention they are 100% illegal and goes against everything the constitution states.. But then again its just a peice of toilet paper to those morons who think Protesting is a privledge and not a right.

Just another propaganda move by the US govt/military. Maybe they're planning another London style attack. As soon as the threat level is lowered, a terrorist attack ensues....then the general public will 'demand' a more to be done against terrorism...another excuse to invade another country....Iran perhaps?
