I assume you're talking about our invasion of Afghanistan whose government was harboring the very terrorists who were responsible for their UNPROVOKED attack on US soil. Or maybe you're talking about Iraq whose leader sytematically murdered 10's of thousand of his own people with chemical poisions and who invaded a soverign nation, raping women and killing civillians for ITS oil. A dictator who continuously thumbed his nose at the UN despite the long list of resolutions sanctioning his UNPROVOKED attack on Kuwait. A dictator who also was known to harbor members of Al Qieada and who would have provided the means necessary (read: WMD) to those terrorists for attacks on Americans and other western nations.

And BTW; We have NOT attacked any other nation in the name of Chritianity or God. It has ALWAYS for the purpose of preserving freedom and democracy--a concept that is completely devoid in Islam.

Your forgetting something, how many christian nations are currently at peace?

Compare that to the number of muslim nations involved in some conflict, it doesnt quite compare. sorry.

What Christian nations are at peace?

Russia fights in Chechnya, England fights in Iraq, France has troops in the Ivory Coast, Canada has troops in Aganistan, so does Germany. Poland has troops in Iraq.

There are plenty of other Christian nations, but off hand i cant think of one thats at peace!

Meanwhile, what wars are Morroco involved in? How about Lybia? Egypt?

And isnt everyone in the Christian west fighting a 'War on Terror' Is that peace?

It has ALWAYS for the purpose of preserving freedom and democracy--a concept that is completely devoid in Islam.

Here's another fact, Islam has become an institution of death, next to the old soviet union. In fact in many of the old soviet republics, Islam has taken hold.

A while ago I remember a fatwa being issued against a single person. I don't think the existence of a fatwa is in ANY WAY related to the number of people involved in extremism.

Eh... this is no different than the websites that proclaim Jews as the spawn of Satan out to brutally decimate the rest of the world.

Hate speech takes many forms.

For every person that hates Muslims there's someone who hates Jews, and someone who hates Christians, and it goes on and on and on.

Paying attention to one-sided biased writings who's intention it is to draw other people to hate a group is a mistake. It accomplishes nothing.

Even if some of the writings of that article are true (and yes extremists did do some of what is in that article)...

How dare anyone use that to represent an entire group of people? An entire religion?

Every group has its bad people. An intelligent person does not take the actions of those people and let it represent the whole group.

A fatwa was issued calling for the death of Salman Rushdie for writing a book, The Satanic Verses...sounds like they have no problem with narrowly focused fatwas...

Well Islam's another religion and not THE religion. Is Islam responsible for cutting off the heads of innocent people, or are the fruitcakes doing the cutting.? Is it a race, a religion or groups desgned from birth to hate america, its governments or people - or all three..

It's not the number of people it's being issued against; but rather the number of Imams who have partaken in this fatwa. As far as the single person; I believe you may be referring to Salmon Rushdie. This edict actually included a few others as well. You should do a little research and find out WHY this death sentance was issued in the first place.

wow, the bias and hate in those articles was overwhelming.

Its scary how it effects the reader.

I actually allowed myself to think about life in the USA if it was led by muslims, maybe 25 years from now.
