I can not agree with the second paragraph of the first link:




To astronomers, flat means that the usual rules of geometry are observed - light not being bent by gravity travels in straight lines, not curves. But since Albert Einstein proposed that the Universe may be "curved", the debate has been open.


Because of this picture:




The image is of Abell 2218 and shows gravitational lensing. The light from an object behind the bright lights (galazies) is being bent so you can see some of it.







Unless I'm misunderstanding what they're saying, I have to say that they are wrong.

It's believe that if you travel from one point and you go so far, you would not end up at your starting point as the universe is not curved.
