Temporary cut-price Secret Forum(William please read)

Hey I don't think that's right that only people that were on at the time should be allowed the cut price deal. It should have at least been a few hours or a day, some of us have to work you know.

Any chance of giving some more of us a bigger time window? I don't think it's right that when you made this deal that anyone not in the USA were probably in bed. Give a few other people a chance eh?

How is it not right? Do tangible stores not offer limited time sales?

Most shops let the customer who is in the shop complete his transaction. Golldarned cyber-shop.

i gotta side with nada on this one.

we dont have that many people in the new forum and 3500 seems excessive especially for a new forum that isnt all that interesting at the moment.

even ive said it should have been a few hours (i said so in the new forum hahahaha)

it would help get more people into it so it has a better chance of succeeding.

not everyone has 3500 + points to buy custom titles and background and get into secret forums and such.

yes people should EARN these things over time but 3500 to get into a secret forum? you'd probably need a at least a couple thousand posts. most dont have that many or they're already spent their points on other things (thats why i've only bought two things, i'm going to wait and see what else becomes available)

yes this was a kmart style blue light special but an hour on a board is a VERY short amount of time, especially when its done in a low traffic time period.

Yeah they do, for like a day or a week, not for half an hour. That just sucks.

I do agree to special deals and offers to people around but half an hour is just rediculous. You go for something to eat and come back and that time has already gone. Are we meant to sit on this site 24/7 in case we miss out on something that is only around for half an hour?

I understand your argument and I sympathize, but have you ever heard of the "blue light special"?

well it was for an hour....not sure if it was actually an hour but he did say it was for an hour...

and now the custom color thing is only 500 points! down by 1000 points from what i saw before....

maybe its another ATS blue light special????


what does it effect exactly? the background to the elft with our name and avatar and stuff?

I purchased access to the secret forum.. it told me that it deducted 250 points and I believe it deducted the full 3500. Anyways else run into this? Maybe I didn't get in during the blue light special and there's an error in the points system?

There are two separate and valid sides to this!

1. Speculators who made the purchase are entitled to retain their imnvestment! Good on them for being opportunistic, and being in the right place at the right time in a time zone where their brainwaves enable them to interconnect with such striking cyberspace offers.

2. There was no inherent fairness in the offer. In fact, it was grossly unfair.

That's life.

People like ThePrankMonkey (who can't tell a male monkey hangle dangle from a female monkey hangle dangle) need a lucky break sometimes.

Some are born into greatness, some have it thrust upon them, etc etc.

I went 10 minutes too late online...

but still, everybody should have the same opportunities.

When you go to the grocery store on Monday, and find that a sale on your favorite beer has expired... do you complain to the manager that it wasn't fair?

I don't know why people are complaining, there really isn't anything great in the secret forum....atleast not yet.

Well sadly I didnt get in on the cut-price secret forum either, but Im not complaining about it.

If you want something if life you have to earn it, not everything is given to you on a plate.

I know we have the ats shop/store thingy at the mo but everytime i go into it i get kicked out???

Oh..i agree with John Nada...i am in germany at the mo and its a bit difficult for me to browse at cheap times when the time difftrences are there!!!

I couldn't agree more but there are two things that are not right about this that I've already mentioned about this and you've chosen to ignore it. First, These quick time offers are only really going to apply to people in the USA because it will be USA time when you make them. People from every other country on this board will be in bed so I don't see how that's fare?

Secondly, yes stores do have quick time offers, but 1 hour? It's normally a week or at least a day and I don't see how many people can benefit from an hour.

However, I have already dropped the subject but I just wanted to make clear that I wasn't moaning about not getting the deal, but how it was done.

I wasnt moaning about not getting in the secret-forum (although I have to agree with John Nada, there is a time difference and some of us are in bed asleep, when this was done), just stating that if you want something in life, you have to work at it!! (which is true no matter what it is)

i know to some of you this will sound silly, i think they should put the price of the secret forum up... by maybe 3x, why because it is an extreme privledge and only devoted members should be alowed that privledge..

now ive been a member for about 6 months, maybe slightly more.. but ive been away for a good 4months maybe...

it seams this point system is anoying everybody it might not be such a good idea after all...

and no i do not have access to the secret forum i do not have the points...

the only problem i have with, the secret forum is that... important information could be posted there and everybody could miss it...
