Yeah and this time they are the Indians. Good luck to them though LOL.

Routes are established, guards paid off, etc, etc. Alot of smuggling is conducted by the Cartels, and the Mexican mafia intertwining with drug, and weapons shipments. Camping out in the desert is going to do nothing to curb illegal imigration anyone who thinks so is sadly mistaken. Inside I laugh to think of the day those poor fools come across a cartels shipment (people or drugs)

Anyone here familiar with "mexican justice"? Something to think about-The cops fear the cartels there.

It definatly sounds like something they should leave to the FBI or whoever is incharge of that, no wonder the government is worried about what they are trying to do. Even if this wasn't the case vigilante like groups are never a good idea.

It’s a shame some people put down the minute men. Think about this if we stop all the Mexicans from crossing over it will force them to change their own country. If they have the ambition to cross hundreds of miles of wasteland these people are better off using that ambition to reform their own country and if they can’t do it. NOT MY PROBLEM STAY THE **** OUT OF MY COUNTRY. We don’t need anymore dieses ridden immigrants sucking off tax payer money.

MrBunny, A friend of mine told me the minutemen kick butt. If a these guys want to throw their hats into the ring and help out with the security of our nation then more power to them. Hell their work is free...Last time I checked we had a pretty bad deficit going on, that is going to make it hard to hire some border patrol guys. And once again I say the government should show its gratitude and issue each of these guys a 9mm, 12 gauge and an M-4. They will have many opportunities to practice shooting while on patrol.

Go minutemen! The illegals are destroying America. Who knows what else is getting across the boarders or coming in on the shore all up and down our costs.

Difference between Californina in 1850 and now:

1850 California

Do you know what happened in 1850?

California became a state.

The state had no electricity.

The state had no money.

Almost everyone spoke Spanish.

There were gunfights in the streets.

So basically, it was just like California today except the women had real boobs.

That's great material!!!!

Stacey, I wouldn't think it would matter as much to someone living in Maui such as yourself. I mean I'm assuming you live in Maui. The swim across the Rio Grande is a lot shorter than the swim across the Pacific afterall.

Peace

Dr Love.

I spend more time in Colorado than I do in Maui right now. I know ALLLLL about the illegals and go to California a few times a year on business.

There are plenty of illegals in Hawaii too. But over there they are phillipinos.

I send what I can to the Minutemen. They are doing a great thing, and I wish more Americans would stand up like them. It's quite obvious that the border patrol can't protect our borders. Someone has to.

I just wish they could legally shoot anyone they saw crossing the border.

I think they are there doing the hot and dusty job our own Dept. of Inferor and Dept. of Immagration seem to be having a hard time trying to do these days. Now that does not go and discount that there may be a few rednecks or some of the gool 'ole half gallon boys around, but you have to give them credit for putting their life on the line to keep the ileagles away from raping our dogs and women.. They ones who are crossing the Southern border are becoming dangerous as each day passes. It is our duty as Americans to do to our share. I think in November of this year, I'm going to Arizona to lend my services to do my part however small it may be

Republicans don't give enough funding to guard boarder because they like the cheap labour, Democrats don't fund because...well, they are Democrats.

Even if there are a few rednecks within the ranks, their is a klansman in the Senate, racist, bigots, gays, and others in the US military.

To my knowledge the Texas Minuteman are not planning to patrol Texas until October, this fall. I have a few

The Minutemen Project, a nationally organized group of citizens aiming to stop illegal immigration on the U.S. borders, already has two active groups in Texas with one mission in October in the El Paso area.

One group, Texas Minutemen, has set its sights on the Laredo area for April

I haven't met any personally, nor do I live in an area where they operate, so I can't say for certain. I am surprised that they feel the immigrant threat so strong that they would take up arms in this way, I don't think I would ever join what they are doing. I am the grandson of immigrants and I believe that the immigrant drive to succeed is what makes America great, be these immigrants legal or illegal. That said, I also feel we should be protecting our borders against those who come to America for reasons other than merely seeking a better life, and I don't think this administration is doing enough in that regard (or the last bunch of administrations.) I think they should be regulated at the very least, it's never a good thing when masses of angry people take the law into their own hands.

They could easily be both, "bored rednecks protecting our borders." As for whether the minutemen are good or bad, I would say it depends on the individual. Let's say they come across a tired and heat-fatigued Mexican family. Do they offer them water and medical assistance before sending them back, or do they just fire their guns in their direction, trying to scare the hell out of them? I'm sure both these types exist in the minutemen, some good, and some bad.

I am sure there may be a few "rednecks" in the group but overall I do believe these are just citizens looking to protect the borders. The biggest issue is not really "terrorists" sneaking in but illegals and drugs. The illegals have cost AZ alone a fortune in medical costs by treating so many illegals that are uninsured. Those costs get passed on in the state in one form or another. Perhaps these US citizens are just tired of footing the bill for others and realize if their gov't cannot do this alone, they need to get involved to get something done.

There will always be bad apples in any group to give a bad name, that is just life.

Personally I applaud these people in what they are doing.
Everyone with half a brain knows that border is the biggest security threat to America. I am glad citizens are standing up and taking defending this nation into their own hands.

Some don't like them having guns but lets consider that every single person they encounter coming over that border is a criminal. They should have some protection.

With the serious problems on the border with the drug cartels I think they should protect themselves in case the drug runners start crossing over.

I have always felt the next big terror cell will come across the mexican border. If Bush had used our military to secure the homeland after 9/11 we would not need these citizen soldiers. Since he has decided to focus our attention in Iraq they have no choice but to act.

I'm not a cop, I don't fear "mexican justice", I have run across Mexican Mafia Cartel stooges...

They were left in unmarked graves as they deserve...

You want to live in Mexico? Go there, get out of the USA, cause you are really beginning to piss me off.

Sorry to ruin the lovefest but I do not support the Minutemen.
I never have and I never will.

I will never support them for the simple fact that they are a magnet for every whitesupremacists group and closet racist in the southwest. I'm sure many members were motivated with good intentions to but I am afraid that the majority of people who feel passionately enough about this issue to actually join up are motivated by the wrong reasons. Immigrants have become a socially acceptable politically correct punching bag. We have had people in this very thread advocating the murder of illegal immigrants. People are being talked about as if they were rodent infestation overdue for extermination. Imagine if the Minutemen were established to patrol our innercities instead of our borders. Then imagine you heard people advocating the murder of black people because they're just a bunch of "no good lawbreakers" that are the scourge of humanity and deserve to be killed. Now imagine if this behavior was being tolerated by the community at large.
As long as this politically acceptable outlet of racism is tolerated I cannot support the Minutemen no matter how lofty their stated goals are.

Nothing good can come of any movement that is supported by Stormfront.

I'd send them $50 too, but that's a months worth of economical Speedy Gonazales #1 lunch specials at the local Mom & Pop Mexican restaurant employing hard working contributing immigrants that I go to in order to support my local community and not overpriced multinational chains invested with foreign interests.

But hey, whatever makes you feel patriotic.
