>LordBucket is right. An EMP is better than an EMF for defense.

Thank you...but, may I clarify?

If any of the tehnical buffs out there would like to correct me, please do...but so far as I am aware the only difference between an electromagnetic "field" and an electromangnetic "pulse" is...well, basically, duration. If you turn on the source current to your field for a few nanoseconds, then turn it off...you will have created a single "pulse." If you turn it on and leave it on, you have a constant "field." And of course, if you want to be massively destructive to an integrated circuit, you would generate a few hundred pulses over a very short time.

So, while a pulse would be much than a field for destroying equipment, I'm still not convinced that an electromagnetic field in any form is neccesarily a good idea when it comes to aliens. From what I've read they began to manifest much more frequently as soon as we began setting off nuclear devices (which generate an EM Pulse) and their ships are often described as being accompanied by the bizzare functioning and non-functioning of electronics (which may well be related to EM fields as well.) In fact, I rather suspect that if you wanted to "summon" a UFO probably the best way to do it would be to sit in a massive, strong field and think out loud "Hey! Aliens, come here!"

But...all of the above aside, if anyone would like to create a device and experiment, I would be very curious to read of your results. A quick search on google reveals dozens of people offering schematics.

>You can't lie well while you're hypmatized, either.

This is not true.

No third party "I heard" or "I read" on this one either. I have personally witnessed a subject lie to me while hypnotized. Very convincingly, I might add.

I didn't expect this thread to pop up, but whatever... Heheh.

Also, how about a HERF?

Wikipedia.org

HERF or High Energy Radio Frequency weapons, also known as HPRF or High Power Radio Frequency weapons are weapons designed to use high intensity radio waves to disrupt electronics. They operate in a similar way to EMP devices, by inducing destructive voltage within the electronic wiring. They are usually directional and can be focused on a specific target.

Then they pick the locks on you're house, walk through it and into your room. Pick you up and march you out, hows that funny again? when thousands of normal people from all over the world who don't know eachother all come up with details that are exactly the same it's usualy true. You can't lie well while you're hypmatized, either.

It's funny because you talk about it as if it's a fully integral part of modern day life.

Thousands and thousands huh? I'm not doubting that fact for a second, I also ain't doubting that there are quite a few mental institutes out there with hundreds upon hundreds of patients in each. Those who aren't mental however just want to be on tv or in the magazines and get money for it.

I ain't doubting that there is intelligent life outside of our solar system, it would be selfish not to think that, I just cannot see why these 'grays' would abduct one person after another, thinking about it LOGICALLY.

But if they did, the dialogue could go something like this:

Gray 1 - "Let's abduct a fat one this time"
Gray 2 - "Yeah, there's gotta be more inside a fat girl"
Gray 1 - "Check that one out! She's like 3 times the size of the last one!"
Gray 2 - "Engaging bluey/whitey beam......"
Gray 1 - "We don't need that! That fat girl ain't goin nowhere!"

The Grays land, pick the locks and enter the house

Gray 1 - "OK, lets grab her"
Gray 2 - "Nnngggghhh, Nnnggghhrrrgghhh!.....OK, one, two, THREE!"
Gray 1 - "Nnnggghhrrggghhhhh!!! Ahh damn it"

(Watch your language, please)

OMG!

Come on Moderator, I put stars in all my swear words, just like in the local newspapers, that ANYONE can read.

So technically I wasn't wearing, I mean f***er could be 'fudger, or 'flamer', or maybe even 'faller'.

Another thing, the 'grays' have picked up a fat gal, not a guy

Do you read what you write? And I remind you that we are not a local newspaper, but a privately owned board, and where you will not circumvent the censors put in place.

I've often wondered what would stop those vile aliens from using paralyzing beams on me.

It's quite known the tin foil hat stops them from reading our thoughts..

So I propose this..

LMAO

/me goes off to buy up a few hundred rolls of tin foil.

Seriously though. One thing to take into concideration is that this device must be a passive element. I could imagine that by the time you know that you are being abducted, it is already to late to turn on and aim such devices.

Particles are effected by electromagnetic waves and fields. I would imagine that even a small magnetic field could possibly disrupt the particle beam just enough to make it ineefective. Perhaps the greys use an EMP device to first disrupt electronics in the area, so that the EM from these electrical devices does not interfere with their beam. Once the fields have been shut down, they can then proceed with the abuction/paralisis beam.

Just a curious thought...

I have seen many people using these magnetic braclets that have a small magenetic field around it for certain types of therepy. Perhaps the field it generates is disrupting some control devices already in place?

Any way, my main point is that any device that is made up will have to work passivly in the background. We will not have time to react in any offensive manor when the strike does in fact come.

How could set off an EMP if we can't move? Unless the guys are gonna give us an aduction timetable. ( That would be quite considerate
)

Also, how can we be certain EMP would effect it, it may knock out earth equipment but why would it knock out the power source of a craft of extra-terrestrial origin?

Dude

Before I go on, I believe congratulations are in order for picking up on the ONLY spelling mistake I have made in all my posts on this site so far
(and by the way guys, my gray dialogue was hella funny before it was edited)

But I do have to comment on the fact that I have not seen any posts by yourself similar to this that follow some of the completely illiterate ramblings concocted by members throughout these forums? Maybe I've been singled out perhaps?

Check the last line of the dialogue again chap.
Sorry if I seem rude, I just don't wish to be perceived as an idiot.

Well, now I've posted, I guess I should make a relevant comment huh?

I was watchin TV earlier (well, not watching, but it was on while I was on my comp) and there was a radio clip played on this show of a woman claiming to have been abducted many times (there was a picture of her on screen, lets just say I wouldn't have a go on it even if my life depended on it - damn she ugly). Now, forgive me if I'm overlooking something important here, but why the hell would an apparently intelligent alien race abduct this poor excuse for a human being on multiple occaisions (other than the fact that she was uglier than anything they've ever seen and wished to know why nature was so cruel)?!

It don't add up man!

There has to be a simple, powerful solution. Think about something passive: an idea like the mirror.

A mirror is an every day object. Not only would it deflect the rays but reflect them back at the ship. I think that the discs are sensitive to lasers and other beams (on ATS there is a story under ETs about a friend of neil armstrong who designed a camera with a laser mounted on it spicificly for taking pictures of the discs) It worked in fact, as soon as the laser shined on the craft it stopped moving for a long time.

Also, if we were able to hit it with some type of beam after using a mirror of some type, we could make its anti-gravity systems crash as paul was saying.

You've missed the point, Remus. You just said you were swearing, and then tried to argue that it's possible you weren't, but, no matter. You were swearing, and circumventing the censors. Don't do it again.

Drakefist: Depending on the type of the beam, the mirror would almost surely break. In fact, I find it hard to believe that any working beam would leave a mirror intact. You'd need to construct a huge mirror which is hard enough, and it needs to be nearly pefect, which makes it nearly impossible as we're rather bad at that currently.

what if we dont come up with an idea to stop them from taking us,put come up with somehting that we can stop bein paralyzed anytime we want,if they abduct someone in a higly populated area,an he/she has a gun, they wake up from the paralyses an crash it into the streets, the government wont there say its a down airplane because to many witnesses,we need to alert the people,it jus an idea.

wat if we make a watch that after it detects the beam it wait 1 whole minute then gives u a shock to wake u up from the beam?

Proove to me it's a blue beam.

Tin foil does stop a lot of things, like wrapping speakers near a FM radio tower will stop the FM signal from coming in
...but I think aliens would have well surpassed...tin foil...

Ok if you really are paranoid and / or have frequent abductions, make an EMP machine and connect a strap or something to one of your limbs. When you leave the bed it pulls it out and sends the EMP through the room hopefully stopping the ray and allowing you to do your Kung Fu on the Grays or whatever floats your boat.

The idea is good guys but the problem is this. Power. its obvious that they can provide a heck of alot more power then plugging into an outlet. That and the fact that if your were able to creat these devices that you'd probably not only knock out the beam but prob the ship, the neighbors porno-a-thon, and whatever else in the neighborhood. Great way to possible get proof yeah. Or get a load of people ticked off at you. So perhaps we can find something that will neutralize the aliens when trying to abduct said victim. I'm thinking along the line of a high frequency pusling pitch device. You know something that squeals really high freqs and drive dogs and animals crazy. Now whos is gonna test it?

Being that this thread was talking about beams that could make you paralyzed and also "probes". I found an interesting video on the net of a guy who caught one of these "probes" on videotape. Dunno if it's real or not, but looks intresting.

Here's the Link: www.ufocasebook.com...

You Can Download the video at the bottom.
