Wow. Another jump off of the Cliff Of Logic.

Wow a pathetic attempt at humor! How interesting!

Souljah- Don't you think you should stop hogging the computer and let everyone else in the village get their turn? That poor donkey walking on the tredmill that's powering your internet over there must be sick of the sight of you! And speaking of donkeys... why don't you go hop in your Yugo and join the insurgency in Iraq, since you're so fond of those ragtag murderers. Just blow up a few orphanages in Baghdad and the terrorists will appoint you to the position of Propaganda Minister. You sure have the material for the job. Watch out Baghdad Bob!!!

On a more serious note... until you start dealing in FACTS I'm not going to waste my time responding to your individual claims. In fact, I'll be too busy at my local hardware stores buying up all the axe handles I can to send to Baghdad. There's plenty more terrorists who need a good beatin' and I wouldn't want our CIA folks getting splinters in their hands by using old axe handles.

Of course, in the twisted reality you live in, the ALLEGED beating of a few murderers with an axe handle is worse than the actions of Saddam's regime- ie: the mass murder of a million civilians, the systematic raping of women and children, throwing babies against a wall and killing them in front of their mothers, throwing men off of buildings, beating people's feet with baseball bats and hanging them for days from ceiling fans, etc, etc, etc. For someone who claims to read, you sure have a very selective taste. I think it's time you moved away from the Fiction section of your local library (actually I thought I heard the National Library in Yugoslavia burned down- and both coloring books were destroyed!!!) and started reading the history of the systematic torture and murder conducted for decades by Saddam the Tyrant and his evil regime.

One thing that I will comment on, however, is your comparison of America's detention of TERRORISTS to the Soviet Gulag. I'd normally consider your statements as a random act of mental retardation, had I never read any of your previous posts before. Unfortunately, I have read them. And your posts constitute a quite disturbing epidemic of lies, lies, and more lies. Do you even know anything about the gulags? Do you know how many MILLIONS of people were put to grueling labor and lived in horrible conditions and DIED? How can you honestly compare that to the treatment we're giving to the terrorists in our custody? They get 3 square meals a day, exercise, entertainment, snacks, copies of the Koran, a prayer mat, showers, and sooooo much more. Everyone who's ever been in a gulag could only dream of being in US custody. Hell, the terrorists have experienced a major upgrade in their standard of living since being captured by us. It's not only moronic, but its honestly sickening to hear people like you refer to our detention of killers as "gulags." You cheapen the term. Do your homework before you make such outrageous comparisons, pal.

Rasputin13, is that your age in your user name? If it is it certainly explains the above quote.

But thats half of the argument though, without a trial, or a hearing, or anything, how do we know if the detainees are even Terrorists at all?

I have nothing more to say.

Yes, obviously I know who Rasputin was. His name is my screen name, and his picture is my avatar. Apparantly I know who he was. I'm no Rasputin expert. Nor am I a "fan" of Rasputin. I just think he was an interesting character in history. It's also a joke from an episode of Seinfeld, and a joke amongst my friends.

But I suppose you have some secret knowledge about Rasputin that you are going to use to make me look like a horrible person for sharing his name on here? lol

Anyway, I really don't have any personal problem with you. We just disagree on many issues. You're entitled to your opinions, and I to mine. We should both be thankful that our respective nations give us the freedom to share and express these opinions in an open forum like ATS.

I'm sorry for not answering all of your questions. I don't know which are serious and which are jokes, and you ask quite a few of them. I don't really have the time or patience to go through and answer each and every one of them. And I don't recall making myself available for interviews! lol

As for the feeble attempt at humor from the member who asked if the 13 in my name is my age. Har har har. Actually, it's my favorite number. Also happens to be the number worn by the greatest quarterback of all time, Dan Marino. A little known fact for all my fans out there, Souljah and the Bad Joke Maker- I'll be 24 in a matter of days. And I did not attend Yale. Nor am I a "Neo-Conservative." There are some issues which I would be considered moderate on, and some that I'd be considered, dare I say, LIBERAL! But when it comes to those who blow themselves up or try and kill innocent civilians on purpose, I have no sympathy for them. They deserve no rights that you and I deserve. To be perfectly honest, I think they're getting off easy if all we're doing is smacking them with an axe handle. Now I know to a lot of you that comment will make you disgusted. And I'm sure I'll hear about it. And I'm sure I'll hear about all the "innocent" people we're doing this to. Well, if an innocent person was hit with an axe handle in Iraq, then I'm truly sorry. But to me that's no reason to stop swinging!

I know Rasputin is a Very Contraversial Character from Russia's History. He was Called a Mad Monk, but he really was not a Monk in the First Place. Lets say he was a Mystic. But did you know, that Today a Russian Museum Exhibits Rasputin's Penis?

Agreed!

On almost ALL Issues the only things we Agree on is to Dissagree on them.

Well - Thats Something too, right?

Strangely my Lucky Number is 31 - the opposite of your 13.

Is that supposed to Mean Anything?

Well to get into the ROOTS of this Problem, I will answer to you with a Question:

Were there Suicide Bombers Prior to the US Invasion of Iraq?

Meaning only one thing:

The Logic of Suicide Terrorism: It’s the Occupation, not the Fundamentalism

I think one of the most fascinating things about Rasputin is the legend of how he died. They say he was fed enough poison to kill several elephants, yet it didn't phase him. He was shot, and survived that. Then he wrestled his way out to the courtyard where he was shot some more, and I believe even stabbed. Finally he was wrapped up and his body dumped in a cold river. After all of this, they say his cause of death was DROWNING! How amazing is that!

Now to answer Souljah's claims that suicide bombers weren't in Iraq before the occupation... Of course they weren't. Saddam ruled that country with such a tight fist that no one would dare attempt to assemble groups of suicide bombers to act against the government. They often said that no two people could have a conversation in Iraq without the government knowing about it. Now, if we were to rule like Saddam did, and if we treated the people of Iraq that way and re-opened the rape rooms and torture chambers, then the suicide bombers would be gone in no time!

The fact remains that the terrorists have made Iraq the central front in the War on Terror. We'd much rather our soldiers fight and kill the terrorists in Baghdad than Boston. Now I know that's a selfish thing to say. Of course I don't want innocent Iraqi civilians to have to die. But so long as the Iraqis allow these foreign insurgents and terrorists to live amongst them without reporting them, then they are creating and fostering an environment where them and their children could be blown up at any moment.

The fact remains that whether you agree with the decision to go to war or not, we did and we're there now. It would be completely disasterous to withdraw now. The situation would be horrible, deadly and chaotic. We must stay the course until we can train enough Iraqi's to police and protect themselves. Until such a time comes, we're not going anywhere whether you and the terrorists like it or not!

I've watched a documentary Gunners Palace 2 days ago. Quite educational if I may say so.

In this documentary a drill sargeant said:

I can't train people who don't give a s**t.

On the other hand Iraq was a despot country. Besides Oil the other thing they got plenty of was a Police (and military). I think they are fully qualified to train themselves (if there is such a need).
