Why do people think Hitler was a Christian?

Why do so many people think that Hitler was a Christian? seriously, he hated Christians and Jews, because Christians are Jews with 1 difference: we believe in Jesus. Hitler said that Christianity was an invention of the Jew. Many christians went to the camps too.

It is more of a question of why cant people think for themselvs?
If its not reglion then its the Naizs thinking for themselvs would undermine there beliefs something many people are not willing to do.
For people who arent religious nuts or living in countries run by corrupt regimes it is more of a question of why can those people think for themselvs?

These people tend to be modrates or middle roaders on the political spectrum the extremists weather they be consertive or liberal are no differnt they have a differnt coat of paint.

Care to source quote that? He said alot of things, including many statements to support that he at least considered himself a Christian and doing the work of the Lord...

Whether they are or not is another story. But it's a long standing tradition in Christianity.

A christian is someone who keeps the word of Christ. Who follows in the footsteps of Christ.

If you are saying Hitler is a christian, you are saying he was just like Christ.

No matter how many times they are shown the truth, non-christians...and even some christians, will continue to call the RCC doctrine, christian. It is not.

The crusades, inquisition, addition of mary as queen of heaven, etc......Im sure you can do fine on your own at finding where they do not keep the word of God.
Still...like hitler...the rcc doctrine will be lifted up as the doctrine of Christ.

My recent favorite was when JP2 (beloved of the world) said that muslims and jews dont need Christ to goto heaven because they believe on the God of Abraham. Compare that one to scripture.

Even the new Benny said that the jews can wait till Jesus comes the second time to decide. Dont know how he figures that.

Hitler was a man. Imperfect. Just like ALL men, Christian or not.

He was also insane and happened to think he was a good Christian. Or portray himself as such. Short trip regardless.

But I was commenting on what Hitler considered himself to be. Not what he was. I'm not qualified to judge who's a real Christian or not. Apparently that's your job. Want to know who I think is really like Hitler now?

Figures you would take it to extremes to try to wiggle out. The fact is, you want to call them all christians who did all of those things throughout history in order to villify christianity.

Then , even though you feel qualified to judge people to be christian, based on criteria that is nonsense compared to the meaning of christian, you then try to turn around and say it is not right to say that people are not christian.

Jesus said you will know them by their fruits. Jesus produced life. Hitler produced death.

Apparently Hitler was actually a gnostic christian.. his interpriation of doctrine was much different than a regular christian [though perhaps not that much different to medi-evil christian leaders].

This is another thing that needs to be denied.

It doesnt matter what label you give or what meaning you give to the verse... if your not doing what Christ said, then its not christian.
Example. Christ does not kill 6 million jews and 6 million others as the final solution.

Jesus Christs final solution was to die on the cross in your place. HUGE DIFFERENCE

No matter what the label, if its not walking after Christ, then its not Christ ian

I'm not saying these people were "good" Christians Jake. Or even realTM Christians. But you of all people surely won't deny lots of people call themselves Christian and do all kinds of unChristian things in His name. Or do you not read your own threads are about why most "Christians" in the world (aka Catholics) aren't Christian (in your lofty estimation).

Do they not claim to be though as did Hitler?

If there are people that think Hitler was a Christian, that must be because they are either insane or cant read. In his "confession" book, Hitler made it very clear he was a Luciferian and that His plan was to "Clean" humanity form the "bad Races". He beleive "angels of light" had given him this plan.

On these things we can agree easily. But there are those out there who will insist, without regard for anything CHrist did...even laying down His own life for people who spit on Him... that christianity (what Christ taught and the people who follow Christ) is bad because of the acts of the RCC and 'christians like hitler'.

On the other hand...

I wish there was video of hitlers last day and it showed him bowing and repenting to Christ right before he was killed.
Then we would have an interesting story.

Paul, formerly Saul, was a hitler type person who didnt have a shot at being Ceasar/Kaiser. He was every bit as bad except his main thrust was at christians. Then he became one. Jesus said if you hate then you have murdered. So how much different then saul and hitler is the avg joe with his road rage, dislike of his boss or co-worker or classmate....etc...

In the end...hitler was not a christian, the cursades were not christian, the inquisition was not christian, the genocide of the NA and SA indians was not christian, apartide was not christian, the archbishop of caterbury is not...err...the pope..err..umm...nm. That might start a new rapids we have to navigate.
