Without a huge live media coverage a team of german archeologists have discovered what is probably the oldest setlement of inteligent humans, Gobekli
Tepe, a stonehedge-like structures, but far more sophisticated, with carvings on it. Now comes the best part, its more then 10,000 years old!
The site is located in Anatolia, Turkey.
Gobekli Tepe was discovered in the 60s, there wasnt any extensive research there until the 90s. The newest discoveries in so-called third layer (
first being the newest, dated back to 5000 B.C., second is about 8,000 B.C) are now dated back to 9,000-10,000 B.C.
