Representative Barton has sent letters out to scientists that have found convincing evidence of abnormal global warming. Dr. Michael Mann, Dr. Malcolm
K. Hughes & Dr. Raymond S. Bradley have all received them.
Instead of limiting his inquiry to just the substance of the science he inquires into all their funding sources. He falsely implies that they have not
been forthcoming with their data or research methods.
Representative Barton is obviously bent on discrediting and intimidating scientists that produce results that don't please his Big campaign
contributors.
Let's take a look at Mr. Barton's campaign funding:
During the 2004 election campaign he received $224,398 from the oil and gas industry. That is fifth below the top [GW Bush over 2,000,000] and above
many Senators.
During the 2006 he was the 3rd largest recipient of money from the oil and gas industry.
I have heard this is under the guise of being watchful of federal expenses.
Excuse me, where is he on the missing 9 BILLION dollars that is totally unaccounted for in Iraq?
How about all the overcharges being squandered on Haliburton?
This is a plain old political witch hunt.
If you don't like the message, shoot the messenger.
If you don't have the cajones to face the facts of reality you shouldn't be in the US government.
Looks like more Texas Bull need fixing.
