Okay, last night my mom, dad and I stayed at a hotel. When we woke up the next morning, my dad said that he had a dream that I was abducted by aliens. He said he couldn't move or speak no matter how hard he tried and he said he saw a blue light aswell. He said he couldnt really tell what they were doing though. and I just thought that was odd, especially since he knows nothing about Alien Abductions, this type of stuff doesn't interest him at all so I thought it was weird he had "dreamed" about it. I can't even remember going to sleep that night.. I just remember laying down then waking up...Was it just a creepy dream or reality?

If you really want a lead on what happend that night, I would consider hypnosis myself. But beware, it is an expensive type of examination that is only if your are that interested in these visitors your father claimed to have been standing over you during your sleep. If you decide to go through with the treatment, do so before you forget too much about that day/night. I'm not really too sure if that matters though
But yea, you should look into it then post when your finished if you decide to.

I was always interested in Aliens for some reason.. I don't know why. Now that I think about I have had dreams about them coming into my room when I was little....but not lately

Edit: Now that I think about it more.. I remember in my dreams that the aliens would always be leaving. i never really remember seeing them come in. Just leaving through my closet.

well like i said, it's only if you really wanted to know if you were actually abducted or not. who knows, it could possibly bring back some childhood memories. and if you actually decide to and talk your folks into it, expect to be terrified from most abductee stories. (I'm sorry I don't mean to scare you.
)

Strange thing is that in many storys i have heard on this subject...most have some child hood memories but not so much as they are older...

Could it be that as a child we are more open to this kind of experience, as we are still learning what reality is?

Sounds exactly like sleep paralysis. I had it once, involved giant spiders walking over me. Not fun.

Physiologically, sleep paralysis is closely related to REM atonia, the paralysis that occurs as a natural part of REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. Sleep paralysis occurs either when falling asleep, or when awakening. When it occurs upon falling asleep, the person remains aware while the body shuts down for REM sleep, and it is called hypnagogic or predormital sleep paralysis. When it occurs upon awakening, the person becomes aware before the REM cycle is complete, and it is called hypnopompic or postdormital.[5] The paralysis can last from several seconds to several minutes, with some rare cases being hours, "by which the individual may experience panic symptoms"[6] (described below). As the correlation with REM sleep suggests, the paralysis is not entirely complete; use of EOG traces shows that eye movement is still possible during such episodes.[7] When there is an absence of narcolepsy, sleep paralysis is referred to as isolated sleep paralysis (ISP).[8] In addition, the paralysis may be accompanied by terrifying hallucinations (hypnopompic or hypnagogic) and an acute sense of danger.[9] Sleep paralysis is particularly frightening to the individual because of the vividness of such hallucinations.[8] The hallucinatory element to sleep paralysis makes it even more likely that someone will interpret the experience as a dream, since completely fanciful or dream-like objects may appear in the room alongside one's normal vision. Some scientists have proposed this condition as an explanation for alien abductions and ghostly encounters.[10] A study by Susan Blackmore and Marcus Cox (the Blackmore-Cox study) of the University of the West of England supports the suggestion that reports of alien abductions are related to sleep paralysis rather than to temporal lobe lability.[11] Some authors have warned of the possible misconnection between child sexual abuse (CSA) and hypnagogic/pompic phenomena and have noted that some clients after having described such an event to a fortune teller or psychic that the psychic may have suggested CSA.[12][13]
