Kerry - Bush...family politics

Did you know that Bush and Kerry are distant cousins? And they are both descendent from the same royal family in the UK? Hard to believe eh?? Well check out Burke's Peerage. They keep a record of family bloodlines and you would be able to trace their bloodlines...although subscription is needed.


Makes you think yeah, would have things really been that much different if Kerry won? After all, they are all part of the same family.

I guess I'd heard of it, but I never really pursued it. So, Bush and Kerry are 16th cousins. Pretty distant. I don't see anything really odd in that, considering where their families began (in the U.S.).

I'm fairly sure this connection was brought up during the election. I think a genealogical chart was linked to. An ATS search turned up this:
