Do soul mates exist?

What s your opinion/experience with that?




P.S.: If anybody doesn t know what soulmates are than I can give you some links on that.

Soul mates are people with which someone is compatible. No one is limited to having only one soul mate. Everyone has various soul mates from their many past experiences in the flesh and in the discarnate dimensions.

I don't know that the term should be 'soul mate', because it don't mean that the person/spirit is actualy someone you'd be 'mated' with or married to etc.
But souls (i.e. spirits) do 'sympathize' with one another. Some VERY much so. When I say sympathize I mean that they correspond well, are very much alike in their value system, moral judgement, thinking patterns and ideas on things. The 'soul mate' isn't nessasarily the opposite sex, someone your age, someone you even particularly enjoy being around. They don't even have to be alive! In death, this 'soul mate' or 'sympathetic spirit' would be called by some a guide or median.

We have been together for 16 years and we are complete opposites. All my capabillities are different from his in every way. He has no mechanical inclination or sense in any way, but I can strip a car and rebuild it blindfolded.

I have no sense of order or cleanliness but he has...... And he enforces it, and without that my life would have no order and would be in total dissaray.
But are we soulmates??????? I don't know.

We know each other so well that I know what he's thinking and we can communicate with each other in a room full of people, but only we know what is being said.

Is it a look?
Is it body language?
Am I reading his mind?

I don't know, but I start singing the song that is stuck in his head and will ask him about something that is on his mind. And this happens far too often to be a coincedence.

This may only be an arrangment of convienience where both parties benefit from the skills of the other and through familiarity breed a sense of the other's thoughts and feelings, but it feels like it's more than that.

If this isn't my soul mate that I'm with now, I've done something wrong in my life. We never fight or argue, and rarely ever have bad feelings between us. But Stuff Happens ,we get over it and go on.

I wish the same for everyone.................

Well, I strongly believe I found mine, we are almost complete opposites.

I'm small, she's big, I have light hair, she has dark hair, i'm an optimist and she is a pessimist.

We also have alot of common interests.

It's also funny when looking at our zodiac signs, she is a Scorpio with a Sagittarius rising, i'm a Sagittarius with a Scorpio rising.

And we have an incredible feeling of knowing each other longer than we do, we've only been married for 2 years but it feels like it's been atleast 20 years.

Yes I believe soulmates exist, and I believe she is the one I loved in a previous life.

I agree with what was said earlier... that there are different "soul mates", vary-ing on experiences or what-have-you. Case in point:

1. My wife (naturally, she'd be placed first, right honey?). I could not see living this life without her. She is my opposite in EVERY way, from physical to mental to beliefs to everything else in between. Plus, I being Gemini and her Scorpio... egads! And, though we have NOTHING in common, and share NO similiar traits, we complete each other. We are one.

2. I have always been drawn to a certain type of woman... why, I do not know. But whenever I encounter someone like that, it is as if I instantly calm down, and all my needs revolve around her... it's a bit disarming, to say the least. Perhaps there was something from the pasts, which involved someone like that, who knows.

3. Everyone has a spiritual other. Just so happens that I am aware of mine, and can interact with "him". Turns out that there is a woman who has been in each of my past lives in one manner or another; everything about her has never changed in all the histories. With her, we have everything in common, and can talk as if we have known each other for a lifetime.

He was born on the 14th and so was I. Exactley 6 months apart.

Go figure.

I thought I had one once but when she left she took all my stuff, so I guess the soulmate stuff was kind of onesided.

But they do exist!! I'm beginning to feel I may have found another. We've been together now for over 20 yrs. Time will tell!!

You re right I know but I had to go so I didn t had much time to post more but I wanted to know about people s experiences with soul mates.

I truly believe in soul mates, yes plural cuz I think people have more than one. One of your soul mates could be anyone: your father, mother, borther, your best friend, your partner....

Once i had a very strange situation. We were on a schooltrip and a saw a girl. When i saw her i had this very strange feeling, i didn t knew what it was. I thought then that I knew this girl from a past life, or that she was one of my soul mates or something.
I still wonder what that was.
So if anyone has any idea....

every one has a soul mate is it some one in which you are unknowingly drawn to by a cosmic force. no matter what soul mates will find each other.

I haven't read all the responses, so I apologize if I repeat anyone....but it is my belief that there are no soul mates...we stay around the same people to a degree, but in different roles and genders. You would not be growing if you just continued along with the same person time and time again...the whole point is to progress with each incarnation. Now I need to get outa this darn Forum….I get sucked into it every so often.

soul mates do not excist. there isn't a person on this earth specially for you. it's in your nature to care and like people. and some people you care more for then others. simple as that

My answer depends on how you mean the question. If the question is 'Is there one person to whom I could bond with better than all the others' then I would say yes.

If the question is 'Do Soulmates mean more than that' I would say no.

There are people who simply fit so much better than the rest of us that they deserve a special title, Soulmates works for that. I am a veteran of a lot of relationships, some rather unconventional. I retain a connection to almost everyone I have ever been involved with, but there is one that is different. It still seems that she and I were together only yesterday even though it has been years. That connection is something unique.

I have always felt that it is the Subcon communication that we all share that gives 'Soulmates' it's special buzz. When a person you can really connect with is near, or soon to be near, I think we feel that, and long for it. The need for attention is fundamental to humans, and the possibility of attention from one that is so close to us in temperment and feelings is not to be taken lightly.

I do not believe that male/female soul mates exhist.
I know that's unromantic, but that's what I think.

I think that a person's TRUE soul mate is GOD and that
when we die, if we are heaven bound, we meet up with
our true soul mate - God.

Sounds like "God" is polygamous.

My opinion is that it is an illogical romantic notion. To say that there is another half/part of you somewhere out there indicates that you are not a whole person and is psychologically detrimental to say the least. After all, if you are not content with who you are as a whole then how can you fully and honestly share yourself with someone else.

What you are describing is more along the lines of a "twin soul" versus "soul mates." I agree that twin souls do not exist.
