No, the existence of a large army vehicle is not a stretch. It is however quite a stretch (which would make Phil Klass proud) to assume it matches the drawings and testimony. To make it all fit you would have to ignore all the witness testimony that three flying UFOs were seen and also that the object flew down and landed. Yes, your supposed tank thus "flew". Furthermore, all drawings show a disc-shaped object. Square peg, round hole.

In short, the evidence for the misidentification of an army vehicle is nonexistent.

I'd rather accept that they were all hallucinating than go with this crapola.

As for my Opinion, Mass Hysteria sounds almost as terrible as "swamp gas"
they tried the mass hysteria BS with Fatima in 1917.

I hate to point the obvious out, however, in this case I guess it really should be. Wasn't there claimed to be some dude who showed up in the arse end of the Roman Empire with a similar sort of message a couple of thousand years ago.?

For starters a disclaimer , I am on the fence when it comes to what this event was , it could have been a UFO , it could have been military or it could have been an elaborate hoax (no idea why tho) , but that is not the point of my post . Now to the point :

Whats up with the notion that a white house or middle of the city landing would be any different to those beings ? I mean how does somebody from another planet (if we believe there is such a thing) come to the conclusion that this small white house in the middle of many other geometric shapes (as in buildings) must be something more important ? Or why would Los Angeles , New York be any different then Paris , Johannesburg,Warszawa or a ticki-ticki village in the middle of the amazon river ? I mean just because You and I know that LA is slightly more civilized and important then a ticki-ticki village in the depths of the jungle does not mean alien beings out of proxima centauri have any clue or came to the same conclusion about it .

So please stop with the "why did they not land in this or that city , which I assume is important because that is my world view" .

LA has changed big time since the last time i was there then?

One of my favorites, along with the Rendlesham forest incident.

From the videos and Mack's interview I can't see they faked this or that it was some kind of mass hysteria event.

It left me pretty gobsmacked hearing these children speak although I felt Cynthia's questioning was dismal.

... I only wish they'd hurry up and release the full documentary, it's been years.

these children are very real and sincere and their insight into what happened to them was inspiring to say the least.

I have no reason to disbelieve them or subtract from their unique experience and i fully understand why the visitors chose to express their message to them

I realize this was posted ages ago and that you probably aren't around but it's worth noting the kids ranged from between 6 to 12, so their illustrative and even recall ability is going to vary, they are children afteral! I think above all it's the sincerity in their interviews.... I have kids of around that age and I can always tell when they're lying. I don't believe these kids were. I'm surprised this event isn't more widely regarded as it appears to've been pushed to the fringes.

I'm loving reading the "skeptics" in this thread trying to explain this incident away. It's entertaining that's for sure.

What if the schoolmaster himself told each one of the 62 children to lie in order for the school, the community and himself to get some attention? I think that is the most likely scenario (someone probably pointed this out in the last 6 years but anyway). Also, each one of the children you had photos of did look like they were lying, I guess you got them as a joke from another source? Have these children, who would now be a bit older, maybe out of the school, re-told about their experiences?
