Topic Ratings

I'm thinking this is the right forum to post in (if not, please move it ).

Anyway, I was just thinking about a topic rating feature here at ATS. I find myself wasting a lot of precious time reading posts of no real importance, posts lacking sources, containing spam, and other such nonsense. So I thought a topic rating feature would be really helpful considering I don't have much time on my hands and would rather just skim through the not-so-interesting topics.

Just don't take this too far and include user ratings though. Getting to the personal level just breeds bad feelings imo.

Anyone think this is a good idea?
