PLEASE PLAY NICE (STAFF ALERT)

I do think that since mods can move threads that sometimes, a thread may have relevance to more than one of the forums and end up here. I started a thread that got moved 3 times, and eventually came to die here. I placed in conspiracies in religion, due to the content (the full content), and yet it got placed here.

Due to a mod starting this thread, I was curious to ask if you think that this thread is appropriate for BTS or ATS.

Well, it's called the "ORIGINS and Creationism" forum...and atheism is a valid viewpoint when it comes to discussing origins. You might not like it, but arguing against reality is kind of silly

p.s. i'll start a forum for one,i,have one now,universalposter,i just need to bring it back up........it was up a year ago...you can youtube and google it,i don't if its still there,but,if i,get a lot of request,i will bring up.my son and i ran it,it was also about everything,we less rules.but we didn't allow cursing,or have any threats allowed. you still can post your beliefs and feelings,facts and truth.

So are we allowed to discuss socio-political aspects of religion? Even if my opinion might be that religion is a direct threat to civilisation?

Is this an attempt to libel laws on ATS?

Is religion free from criticism? Even if done so in a respectful manner?

For example, what if i believe Christianity has gathered it's followers over centuries by tyrranical means? Do i have to withold that to save offense?

Those are my question to the OP.

Dear ATS Staff aka moderator,

It appears this thread is to address that there are problems being caused by the antics of the Religion and Theogy area. I would agree there are very serious problems in this area and ATS's moderators appear to have split and non-uniform ideas for dealing with the problems.

One of the most serious issues on ATS appears to be the systematic methods of the organized church types to attack content they don't like being developed and addressed on ATS. The method is they get several of their group together and talk about off-topic things running against the threads title and OP. What that method does is drive the on-topic submissions way down the page count and so loads the threads theme with off-topic content that it turns readers off because the ATS moderators appears to no longer care about keeping a thread on topic and stopping the off-topic banter being used to derail a threads content.

All that appears to be doing is driving up the ATS bandwidth with extranous off topic commentary and that would appear to do ATS resourse real harm.

So, it does appear to me that the ATS moderator staff needs to all get on the same page about what they are going to do and share that with all the folks. Right now, when complaints are being made about these systemic thread disruption methods nothing is done, but previously something was done.

It appears that ATS, by the actions or inactions of its split personality moderation is in the mode of ignore and support all the offtopic banter running up page counts on threads, looking more like denial of service methods to flood content and drive up page counts to bury the lastest on topic thread content.

Is the problem that the ATS can't seem to see this happening on various threads, or that ATS has taken a swing into the realm for support of the ignorance of religion by allowing the systematic derailment techniques to go on to distrupt theads. Inquiring minds want to know, since you all are complaigning of the Religion areas problems, just how ATS thinks allowing the disruption methods is going to look good for ATS staff.

I know that I am not impressed lately with what the ATS staff is doing when I call highly specific attention to the problems and they do methods to sustain the problems rather than deal with the problem. If ATS can't handle the Religion and Theology area with consistend and needed moderation, then it is time to just take it totally off the ATS theme areas.

I don't see that ATS has come to terms with fixing the problems in this zone of ATS, and there is a definitely split in moderation and inconsistency. I personally, don't think the ATS staff is addressing the most serious of the ATS problems that burns up bandwidth and page count to allow thread's contents to become derailed with content that drives readers away from the thread. Such is blatantly obvious and consisten with denail of service attacks in many ways, but it appears ATS moderators have on blinders.

If this is the case, either come up to speed with a way to deal with the problem makers using those deliberate methods, or close the entire area for all time and get out of that discussion business as your image to deny ignorance now appears one of promote ignorance by inattention to the most serious problem.

Your suggested solution doesn't relate to the problem you're complaining about.
Your complaint is that people are going off-topic on other people's threads.
But your solution is about preventing them from starting threads of their own.
If it was no longer possible to start Christian threads, how exactly would that prevent "religious types" from intervening on other threads?

You don't appear to read well. That isn't what I said and does not reflect what I said. I have multiple complaints about religion folks going off topic for my threads, which I am bringing to the ATS staff attention. They, ATS moderators, used to address that happening, now they appear they don't care and let it happen. ATS does not appear to have a uniform regulation of the religion and theology area, and there appears a split personality where they used to deal with the off-topic problems, but now just allow the themes to be flooded with off-topic posts and drive up the page count with chatter and force the reader for the real theme to dig around pages and pages of extra non-sense that they didn't come to that theme area to read.

Nothing was said about the organized church types starting their own threads with a wide topic base to allow them to wonder all over the place with posts to the threads. In Fact, I started a thread that would allow them to do just that because of the extensive problems with the off-top post flooding issue that happens on themes that they don't like. The complaint specifically tells they need to stop the flooding techniques to attack threads, they need to start their own threads to banter about that subject. But, I would bet that since their intent is to flood the theme they don't like, that they won't be starting their own areas to get their posts into on-topic zones. There intention is to derail the topics they don't like by flooding them with religious off-topic nonsense

There was no complaint about religion types starting their own thread themes, but just like the ATS rules say--stick to the subject and the OP theme or make the theme wide so it allows anything and everything. I make ATS posings with a theme subject, that restricts and focuses the comments, and expect ATS to follow keeping folks on theme. If ATS isn't going to take the time to deal with these problems, then ATS basically needs to get out of the discussion areas of Religion and Theology, which ends it for everyone.

ATS, the staff, appears to be complaigning about problems in the Religion and Theology area because of various things from diatribes tosssed about and general hate toward anyone not following their god theme or being ditto heads for their religius obcessions. I put themes on ATS postings to attempt to avoid lots of that and deal with a focused issue.

I agree ATS has some serious problems with religion and theology and the worst is this flooding the thread with extraneous comments so it not only runs folks away from the subject and OP themes, because the thread then contains the religion non-sense that no intelligent folks wants to become associated with. It is a borken record with them, everyone is tired of hearing it again again and again. Such derails the thread with specific subjects that detail problems with religion. The threads become so flooded with off-topic non-sense the original poster is often run off or simply does not care to respond to the off-topic religion non-sense.

For ATS to allow this to go on means they don't care about this religion and theology area, or somehow there is a shift toward allowing anything goes on postings from the organized religion types. I, myself, didn't come here to hear the organized religion types flood the subject and OP with off topic religious nonsense. ATS advertises to deny ignorance and to do that in religion one has to follow back to the origin to discover it is all non-sense from a primitive peoples ignorance that contunes today due to pure ignorance of history.

This is a specific post that questions ATS staff to deal with the passive aggressive flooding games on themes, not stand around and do nothing. If they are more intent to do nothing, then close down ATS to any themes for religion and theology because they don't supply areas where discussions can happen without the typical evegelical flooding of themes that don't support the organized church or Bible believers themes.

ATS has a problem and I am pointing at it with many fingers, traffic control signs, flags, and the like and saying deal with this flooding the theme game or if they don't know how----then close ATS to all religion and theology discussions. Also, if ATS is becoming an evangelical front, then say so to everyone so we can say that ATS isn't serious about deny ignorance as they now cater to the uber religion nonsense and allow the theme flooding to occur to trash a thread with off topic listings that drive people away that liked the original subject and OP.
