Problem with my sound.

Hi, I bought a new computer 4 months ago and I have no probs except with the sound. I can listen to music, 99% of downloaded clips are ok. Its just things like an incoming e-mail wont make the dee-doop sound, my on-line poker as no sound effects and stuff like that. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Sounds like a missing plug in maybe?
I know for some things I have to d/l plugins for sounds to work, otherwise, I have to download them individually, which I can't be arsed to do.
Depends on the browser I use, though, too.

You can try going to the control panel clicking on the sounds icon and checking to see if any sound is configured for your e-mail. Also, double click on the speaker icon in your bottom right-hand side of the task bar and check to make sure all the sliders are pushed up and and the "mute" box is not checked.
