This really seemed to be the most appropriate thread available to show something I just purloined from alien.

It is the proof of evil in heavy metal you were after, drunk.

...if so, the Devil has some mighty phat riffs!!!

Music is valueless...values come from those who play it.

Take Christian Rock/Hard Rock/Metal bands...hardly call them Satanic.

Same goes for other music genres like Rap/Hip Hop etc, often accused of being nothing more than an excuse to cuss...yet Hip Hop also has its 'Holy Warriors' using the form to deliver a positive message...

Christian hair metal, as alien was defending, is also proof of evil. It is evil music.

Notice how the bunny came, and alien came without the bunny.

It all shows that heavy metal is evil.

No MA...Alien was just dashing down to the Rave Clubs to get Bunny Busta-Move a dance partner...

*edit: Bunny wanted to dance closer to the Bar...*

Heavy metal music is not the music of Satan, Satan has much better tastes than that. Most likely Satan would prefer some of the classics, you know - easy listening. But I doubt that Satan prefers heavy metal.

Christian music is the music of the devil. You can tell the people singing and listening are brainwashed by the goofy smiles on their smug faces.

hehe
My thoughts exactly

I'm on a highway to hell...

Satanic or not, I just listen to whatever I like. One moment it's Jimi Hendrix the other Maiden.

Metal music as actually closer to classical music than that crappy top-40 pop music.
Most members of heavy metal bands are actually inspired by Bach and other great composers (spell?).

Is the work of God. Not the devil.

Of course, some music is not to God's liking for it preaches fear.

Even though I am a Buddhist... I happen to like hardcore, and older heavy metal*. They may not be preaching a message of love, and peace to humanity, but if your able to look past what they're saying, and realize its just lyrics then its ok with me. Besides most lyrics, and the image portrayed by bands is just for entertainment value... Slayer, and Iron Maiden don't go around murdering, and stalking people, like in the lyrics to their songs... allthough Iron Maidens drummer is quite partial to hitting parking attendants with his car though... lol.

(*No new stuff. All older.)

I am quite partial to hopesfall, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Tesla, motley crue(somewhat, metal for their time.) I like a bunch of other older bands too. I dont listen to metal all day though, I enjoy some beastie boys, chubb rock, deltron, q-tip. I'm pretty much open minded when it comes to music... perhaps scince I've been playing guitar scince I was 8, so I understand the musical talents put into the artists work...

God owns a Fender electric guitar... Every once in a while, he gets Jesus (who plays a Yamaha keyboard) and has a little jam session...with some angels providing some electric harp background...

Strange sound...if the cloud is a rockin' don't come a knockin'.....

For any music to be "Music of the devil", one must first believe in the devil. Since I believe the devil is a creature made up by adults to scare kids into going to bed on time and being good, there is no MUSIC OF THE DEVIL to me.

LONG LIVE HEAVY METAL

I doubt the existance of a devil.

However, if he does exist, I respectfully submit that country & western is the music of the devil... not rock & roll.

There's something distinctly Luciferian about polka music.

Nah... Polka music is happy-sloppy-bouncy stuff that goes well with strong Bavarian beer.

I have it from highly-informed sources that the Devil is a big fan of bluegrass music........

C'mon foks, rock music aint from the Devil, it's from God! Don't you think that if Jesus were alive today he woud rock out to some sweet ZZ Top at a summer festival, or would listen to his Beatles albums at home while painting his bathroom, or would play air guitar with Eric Clapton's "Crossroads" while riding in his friends car?

Rock music sets your soul free!

If Heavy MEtal is the Devils music, then what make Old School Hip-Hop, when it came out with gangsta Rap and most people liked it and it spawned Gang violence Hence crips & Blood and all that Sh*t!!

I hate it when people say this, I get so angry when they do, everyday i hear "this music is bad for ya" or "This is Evil music" etc....
I just tell em to get a life!!
Sure i can accept that some of it is pretty bad for example Slayer album title says it all! "God Hates Us All".
But i dont take in the lyrics, but i enjoy the music and the hard Riffs!!!

It Rocks man!!
