China threatend America

Did any one read the reports today coming out of China?
General" China is prepared to use nuclear weapons against the USA if it is attacked by washington during a confrontation over Tawainn..

No first strike applies to NON Nuclear countries, and in the case of USA, that could change..

ITs the first time a SPECIFIC nuclear threat has ever been made against a country...

USA will never intervene openly (not to mention military force) in the conflict over Taiwan. Those of you with some knowledge in Economics should know that US is at the moment greatly dependant on China. Last figures I saw showed that China and Japan contribute to 980 billion of the US capital account and US have over a trillion trade deficit (imports-exports). This comes to show that if not for Japan and China, USA will be in great recession, USD will depreciate massively and the (hyper)inflation will be imminent..

Yeah man, this was pretty bold of them. I cannot believe for one second that they would be stupid enough to do so though. We would absolutely level them in under an hour!!!!

I hear though that we Gaurenteed Taiwan's Independence, so we would have to go to war to protect them. Can anyone verify this?

That's exactly why they can make these threats, they are ever increasingly becoming the true super-power since they have the ability to economically destroy countries and if the fight is on, they also have the means to hit back hard in that sense.

It will be interesting to watch China get more and more agressive and demanding their place in the world because they can and will need too if the US are planning on controlling their fuel via control of the Middle East.

Eventually China and Russia will team up to fight over the Caspian Region unless the US lose bigtime in the Iran/Iraq wars.

That is what I read. I will hunt down the links where I read about it. That is why Taiwan is going for Independence. We told them that we would have their back. We promised to protect them if China ever came at them with force. On the other hand, we are not for them breaking the stat. quo. and going for Independence. So, it is a pretty grey area. From what I understand, as long as China does not act with force aginst Taiwan we stay out of it. The thing is though that China knows this and had just spoken to Ms. Rice about it on Saturday. Then HELLO they threaten to nuke us. Seems to me that they are planning to take back Taiwan. Otherwise, they wouldnt have bothered with the threat. The thing is thought that we just pissed them (china) off over some big U.S. oil company that they want and we wont let them have. We set up pretty big defences over it apparently.

Unfortunatly, things are heating up from too many directions. With any luck they will kiss and make up peacefully. Just the other day I was doing a search on Google, and a bunch of millitia sites popped up. I wasnt looking for them but must have punched in the wrong thing....anyway, they are all on red allert or something like that. So if Pres. Bush even thinks of dropping a nuke they are planning on......well I recon a civil war.

China didn't threaten the US. A hardline Chinese General said that his opinion was that if the US attacks China during a military confrontation over Taiwan then China would be forced to use nukes against the US in response. This is not official Chinese policy. This is one General spouting off. US Generals do it all of the time as well.

The guy who said that wasn't representing the views of the chinese govt.. At least thats what he said (Maj .Gen Zhu)...
