Well google has some neat new software out where you can view the planet at various levels of details...
earth.google.com is where you can find the software..
Well I went to the white house. and then i typed in "local search" for vatican.
Well i found the Vatican Embassy there. (Its North West of the white house). But for some reason there is a big circile of lowres data, in a city
thats all high res. Any one with any ideas out there?
It looks like there are many embassies in that area so the Google satellite images have probably been pixelated to obsure the area for security
reasons.
check out www.freemasonrywatch.org... in regards to the streets of DC, but thats another topic for another thread.
But ya It is over the top, especial because every area around is is highest level detail.... thats for posting a link to the google maps, I was
looking for that site but couldnt find it for a while.
It is standard/normal security protocol to pixilate embassy aerial photos.
Why?
You will have to ask those who would know in the government, all I can tell you, as has already been mentioned in this topic, it is done for security
reasons.
Afterall, we are talking Washington, DC......
Would you want people to know how many rooftop cameras you have? NO.
Also there may be firedoors and rooftop hatches on the rooves of Embassies.....would you want others to know about them? Probably not.
It is for security reasons.....it's all about you get what you give. If a country is very resourseful and meets many of the US's security
requirements and demands for US Embassies...then we do the same for them (edit google sat. images etc..etc..)
Again we are missing the point here.... There are MANY embassays out side of this bubble. And they are not bocked out at all.
The white hous roof has been edited, but check out that link of what it looks like,
The united states capital is also blocked out here as well.
The question is what is so special about this area. Not so much of "what reason they have to block it out" But what is so special about this area
compared to other embassies that are in plain view.
