where would we be if we hadnt had

Any help from aliens (if they have helped up that is) or any of there technology to reverse engineer from?
- Would it be a better world?
- Less wars?
- Would we still be stuck in a 1940's - 1950's era?
- Would the U.S. still have its advantage that we have today?
This is assuming that the U.S. has had the most to gain from their tech.
- Would we have even made it to the moon? etc, etc...
I can go on all day about different topics, im sure you know i can go on all day.
