Air France Jet With 196 Passengers Crashed With Cow

An Air France passenger jet with 196 passengers hit a cow on the runway as it landed in the southern Nigerian oil city of Port Harcourt. The cow died but no people were hurt.

An Air France passenger jet with more than 190 people on board struck a cow shortly after landing at the coastal city of Port Harcourt, a spokesperson for the airline said on Wednesday.

The jet hit the animal which had strayed onto the runway shortly after the regular flight landed with 196 passengers on board.

"The plane hit the cow after landing but there is absolutely no problem. Nobody was hurt

Poor cow, but this could have ended much worse. A cow on the runway! Cows are quite compact animals and heavy too. Those people in that plane were very lucky.

They were VERY lucky it didn't do more damage. A 737 during tsunami relief hit a water buffalo and just about ripped the landing gear off.

What are the odds of that? Wow!
