funny i always thought that the #in usa is the most polluted.... guess their second only to the middle east...

Oh wait. That's part of Brazil. Brazils not on the list. Must mean peoples faces have stopped melting.

Well I wonder if you tied all the EU members numbers together what % of world polution they would rank if all combined I think that would put things into a real perspective.

N America would not be the only bad guy.

The only thing I am shocked about is the fact that supposedly "educated" people claim that plant food (CO2) is pollution!

China now No. 1 CO2 offender

China has overtaken the USA to become the world's No. 1 industrial source of carbon dioxide, the most important global-warming pollutant, according to a scientific study to be published today.

The study and two others — one recently published and another coming — agree that China's carbon-dioxide emissions surpassed those in the USA in 2006. That's decades earlier than had been predicted by the International Energy Agency four years ago.
