Body switching

I recently read a book (fictional) and in it two people astral projected and switched bodies by entering the other persons body instead of their own....even though this was a fictional book it got me wondering..would this be possible? Ive heard of demonic possession etc but thats not really the same...this would be two willing participants, just curious if anyone knows anything about this anyway.
