If the original source of the information was the right hand man of Nethenyahu, why has he changed his story ?

Why say that SCOTLAND YARD rang them, and then suddenly say, "whoops i made a mistake and nobody rang us it was all figment of my imagination"

This , i fear, will be the first in a series of changes to versions of events surroung the incident from the official sources.
