Canadian Army. Opinions please?

Hey chums, just needed sum smart people to give me sum opinions.
1) Is joining the Army a good life move?
2) What is your opinion of the Canadian Army?

check out the army.ca forums and ask some of the folks what its like and what to expect.

as always check out the government of canada armed forces pages etc. they are quite helpful. check out a recruiter if you are really serious.

i cannot answer that. ive thought of joining myself (dont let the avatar deceive you)

what is my opinion of the army?

we are in a funding slump. we have the people, we have the land, we have the money, its just not being spent under our government. we could have a high quality force. i think our current numbers are around 93 thousand. i could be wrong though.

as for equipment, its pretty dated, the newest planes only fly around officials like the prime minister, which is lame, while the troops get 2nd rate stuff.

we all know about the latest submarine incident.

im not sure what else to tell you.

Nah, just kiddin yah.
I served in the British Army for 7 years, if you like the life, you like it.
If you dont..its hell.
You´ll never be rich, but you have food, a roof over your head, you travel a bit, Kuwait, Northen Ireland, Bosnia,etc and you get to meet interesting peole from all waks of life, AND KILL THEM..!!
