I bet you I got last. It would be just my luck if I failed miserably. Oh well, I'm used to failing miserably so it won't be so much of a shock this time.

You guys are stressing too much. The fact that you created is a reward on it's own, well done. If you need something to take you to 8'ish, here's some stories, past winners, all three in the same comp., that you should be glad not to go up against:

Void -

Nonsense. Your story 'Death of A Poet' was brilliant and in my personal top 3 for the whole contest. You do yourself a disservice, my friend. I personally can't wait to read more of your work.

You scared the tabbaco juice out of me, intrepid. I thought you were posting the winners!

EDIT: Well if you want to read more of it you could read my other entry, Nightmare, unless you already have. I guess I do that too much, Jeremiah. Oh well, I can only hope I'm wrong.

I think its a great idea to post the winners, the 20 runner ups and leave it to the rest to either ask in U2U or not.

I can't believe this thing is fianlly over. Whew, it's been a long haul.

Now I just have to sit here like everyone else and bite my nails

Good luck all,

Wupy

Thanks WW, now everyone can put the Prozac away.

Well done guys.
I mean everyone. Encourage others to participate.

Your work won't be laughed at, unless it's a comedy.

It was my pleasure to write in the competition. I can't speak for everyone else but I think they had as much fun as I did.

That's what it's all about. I'm not sure but I think there was more writers in this comp. than any other. A good sign.

You speak for me also, Voidmaster. This contest was enormous fun. The depth of writing talent here is truly inspiring. Hopefully this contest will encourage our gifted writing community to not only submit more stuff, but to help each other out, provide feedback and encouragement. Writers need to look after each other, after all.

Also, I think we all owe worldwatcher an enormous "Thank you" for all her hard work in setting up the contest and allowing us this opportunity. Where would any of us be without our benevolent moderator?

I agree, this was allot of fun. Not only do I enjoy writing, i'm also an avid reader. This contest showed some awesome talent among the writing community. We had close to 50 entries!

Hopefully the next contest won't be too far off and we can all do it again. I look forward to competeing with each of you in the future.

The good news is, now we all have someone to shoot for, Jeremiah25. He's now king of the mountain and i'm hoping to be the first to knock him off

Edit to add: (because this was a one liner at first)
Would anybody happen to be interested in advising me on "A Vagabond's Tale"? I've got it in the contest and might have gotten some new exposure for it, so this seems like a good time to ask.
I'm doing OK with it, but i thought maybe a little creative input from somebody with somewhat different tastes would help me make it a more multi-dimensional plot.

Ill... take the case! (Harvey Bird Man, or how you spell it)
