Thank God we don't have the Queen on our currency!

One of the best documents ever written in world history was the U.S. Declaration of Independence.

Its nice to get some feedback on what you think of us and the Canadians, i think if you were still a British colony you would be happier.

Yeah really happy with British rule just like the Indians and even the Canadians and Australians (who, while free and independent, still give some nod to the crown).

The British Empire is dead, and we were the first people to drive a nail its coffin, but certainly not the last.

Get over it Bulldog, we (and I) love the British, but we don't want to be ruled by them in an imperialistic governmental system.

The question should read,

"Who would we rather have, a president or a queen/king?"

A President!!! Yeah America may have some screwed up policies now and we don't exactly know where are money is going, but at least it aint supporting a "Royal" family and all thier useless engagements.

But seriously, What would it be like now...if the US never came about?
I think things would be alot worse in the world now, WWI and WWII come to mind. and the Korean war too.

I don't have a problem with the brits....quit a few of them where I live. I just don't understand all the excitement over Cricket. Most lame sport ever, IMO.....Knock off of Baseball

I think America would be a better place if it stuck to being a British colony , Australia Canada and New Zealand are great countries made by the Brits. Your Independence is like a wild child without a mother to smack you , if you know what i mean.

Of course we made the correct choice. We had taxation with no representation! We were being used by an greedy king. We had to free ourselves.

But don't get me wrong besides America I don't respect any country more than England (and the rest of the United Kingdom)!

I just wish you would act like your beer and warm up to America a bit more.

Of course then we immediately turned around and did the same things to the citizens of the District of Columbia.

It's a joke....take it as a joke and nothing more.

If all the Americans here took offense everytime someone on ATS dissed the US, well let's just say we would always be offended....24/7

No big deal

It would be prudent to remember that Canada has 1/10th the population of the USA.

Eh, as for queen or president I'd say you currently have an Emperor.

The rivers run thick with your hubris.

never ceases to amaze me, Canada=losers? what is it with you yanks(general statement of course) we are neighbours...i live in a border city (windsor/detroit) i hear it all the time...i really don't understand the animosity towards canadians, we are "practically" the same people (minus a few cultural differences of course) and just for the record it does go both ways.
