Kim Jong Il -- Tyrant, Psychotic...Director?

So I'm sitting here watching the special features of Team America (the film really disturbed me -- I didn't feel the outrage I was supposed to feel...I thought it was funny.), hoping to get a audio playback of the song, "America, # yeah", which is just hilarious. While perusing the special features, I came across a close up of Kim Jong Il. Trey mentioned that Kim Jong Il (I keep trying to put an "h" in his name...Really annoying!) had kidnapped a South Korean director and forced him to teach Il how to direct. Later, when Mrs. Albright came to North Korea to visit, he put on a huge show which he directed and wrote. From the pictures flashing across the screen, it looked like he was in the movie, too. I can't imagine anyone wearing a toga and yellow glasses like that unless they participated...But then, Il is a lil' nuts.

What I want to know without using Google is, does anyone know any other wierd little facts about this little man? The special feature kind of opened my mind to the fact that Il is not a dictator since birth, and he actually has fascets of his personality, just as we all do, that are rather bizzare and not what you would expect from someone who would order the torture until death of someone who disagrees with him.

Now to the purpose. Kim Jong Il is a small time dictator of a third world country who has delusions of grandure. Yet, today, he is a great evil in the world. I want to shatter this illusion of pure evil and paint a human face on Il. I want to know who he is, not who he claims to be, and not who America and the western world claim he is. This psychotic is human. He may like dogs. He may have a foot fetish. He may feel "ronery". I want this thread to create Kim Jong Il: The Man, not Kim Jong Il: The Dictator. Who is Kim Jong Il? What does he like? What does he dislike? What are some of his idiosincracies? What makes Jong Il human, and not just the personification of all that is wrong with the world today? We'll have fun, we'll laugh, and, hopefully, we'll grow to understand Il a little better. He's wrong in his actions. Dead wrong. But it might be interesting to know how he went from an innocent little infant to the most hated person besides Bin Laden on the planet.

Or just let this thread dies through lack of responses. I'll admit, I may be the only person on the planet who is interested in this. I've not seen anything on the web, and nothing here on ATS, either, which is far more telling than the web. Cast aside your inhibitions, the restrictions society has put on you without your knowlege that you can't say anything good about the man. I want to know who he is, as a man. I'm tired of hearing how evil he is as a dictator. I want to laugh, not be upest. Take this with a light heart, if you find something flattering to him, please post it, if you find something detremental, post that as well. Just focus on Kim Jong Il the man, not the dictator. I'm looking forward to hearing from y'all!

Apparently, he's a big Jordan fan. He would watch the Bulls whenever he'd have the chance. When Albright came to visit him way back when, she even brought him an autographed Jordan basketball.

He also has a big fear of flying, taking trains when going to South Korea or China for any business.

Then there's his blog... An amusing read, at least, but not really his.

JJ, did you mean to ask if Kim Jong ILL is a dictator? Or did you mean to say director?

Upon further ruminating, I suppose you could very well have meant that. He is flake of the highest order. I've heard he's kidnapped actors.

I meant director, as in filming. As I said in the original post, he kidnapped a South Korean film director to force him to teach Il how to direct. He also put on a big ol' show, written, directed, and (it appears) starring lil' Kim (he's only 5'2", but wears 4" lifts on platform shoes to account for this. 'Nother fun fact!).
