Martin Caidin?

I'm writing an article about the old Six Million Dollar Man TV show and have been
trying to do some research via the Internet on Martin Caidin (1927-1997), who
wrote the book, Cyborg, that was the basis for the show. (He also wrote the
novelization for The Final Countdown...) There isn't a whole lot out there on
the Information Superhighway about him, but one thing I did find was that he
was apparently or supposedly heavily involved in several conspiracy-related
issues, especially during his later years, and especially in the UFO and para-
normal areas.

I was wondering if anyone here might have some info about this, or know anything, or possibly even remember the guy. If nothing else, it might be an
interesting topic....and I am keeping open the possibilty that Caidin might turn
out to be a guy that had breathed in a few too many jet fumes. Some of the
material I was able to find kind of tended to give that impression...
