I have a problem with putting a imagine in my avatar

Story: Recently my avatar image was a Terminator icon, though I deleted it from my upload Directory, then as you can see I have no image any more in my avatar. I was recently looking for one... found it, downloaded in my PC, put it in my Upload. Then all of a sudden my brain cells shut down cuz I forgot how you'd put that pic near your username!

Problem: I'm having a hard time storing the GIF file in my avatar every time when I'm in my Edit Profile area in the settings. I would left click my mouse to where the file is(in the upload area) then hit COPY, then I would go to the AVATAR URL thing were you put the name of the file, hit left click, hit past, then press Edit Post, then the cycle of problems start all over again. Can n e 1 help me and explain to me step by step how to get that pic near your username again?

You can also write uploads/filename.ext where filename.ext is the uploaded file name.

Thanks every one I appericiate your help a lot! If this problem occurs again; say I want a new imagine and I delete the one in my Upload, what should I do when I down load a new one for my up load, meaning since the copy and paste tactic that I was doing didn't work, what should I type in my Avatar URL in Edit Profile?
