What is it with televangelists these days...money?

First of all, i'm not religious. But, i can't understand how followers of these organisations hurl money at them and they just 'lap it up'.

Are mass media televangelists so convincing that 'some' followers open the cheque book in the hope that a 'donation' will enhance their lives, or 'cure' ones ills?

The deaf would hear, the blind would see, the lame would jump and walk, barren women would conceive, the jobless would gain employment, and the enemy - both seen and unseen - would be vanquished. Mention any problem - physical, spiritual, economic - Hinn had come with the instant solution.

Don't forget the Oral Roberts debacle a few years back where he begged for money or else God would fullfill his promise and take Oral Roberts away. Too bad , it did not happen
