666 - just some thoughts

The scripture reads those that hath understanding reckon the number of the beast for it is a HUMAN number, 666. A HUMAN number??? So the number has to mean something to humans. World War 1 and 2 mean something to humans. So does Pearl Harbor which happened on "December 7, 1941. A date which will live in infamy." When terrorists destroyed the Twin Towers, it wasn't called The Twin Tower Attacks or The Attack on New York. It was named after a series of numbers, 9-11. A HUMAN number. So could 666 be a date? Perhaps June 6, 2006? 6-6-6. Something VERY significant may happen on this date.

Also, just another added thought. The scripture talks about the "Beast" having 9 heads. "The devil sends the Beast with wrath because he knows the time is short." Something Huge may happen on 6-6-06 causing the Supreme Court to act with haste. The Beast has 9 heads and so does the Supreme Court. After the Supreme Courts ridiculous decision to allow the government to seize your property, who says that they cannot vote in other very more ridiculous measures?

This is all pure speculation of course but imagine if you will that terrorists smuggle a weapon of mass destruction into the U.S. and set it off. The governments number one job is to protect the American people. Drastic measures may be implemented to insure that. Perhaps a chip (similar to the one found in cell phones) implanted under your skin. The chip would have multiple functions. Currency would nolonger be needed. Counterfeit is abolished. Select your groceries and wave your hand (with inserted chip) over the scanner and the total amount is immediately deducted from your checking account. All purchases are made this way. Walk into a building, night club or across the Mexican border. If a "chip" is not detected then your are obviously not from America. You will be one of the persecuted ones, just like revelations in the bible states. Satellite technogy would be able to detect where you are or where your children are 24/7. No more missing children.

Oh by the way, this technogy exists today. There's a company called Digital Angel that can do all of this. It just seems convienient that all of this is strong possibily and 6-6-6 is less than a year away.

People have been relating the revalations to their current time since the book was published.
One has to understand that the author of the book was a madman, living alone in the mountains, eating god only knows what, hashish, mushrooms, ergot, poppy's, whatever.

According to recent...hype, the number of the beast is 616.
So what happened this year on that date, since the three sixes are irrevalent.

Maybe the world goes to crap in June of 2016?

Consider this, supposedly god was all active two thousand years ago, taking this ridiculous primitive people's into his abode and showing them # they could not understand. Don't put much weight in the whole book of revelations, it just makes for bad movies, too many bad movies, although the Omen series was creepy, especially the geneticly controlled foods part...eek!

How is this date NOT valid? After 9-11 there were bumper stickers, t-shirts, etc. that read "9-11-1" Nowhere did i see 09-11-2001. Nothing happened in 1806 and 1906 because the technology didn't exist to put implanted chips under your skin which in turn could make it the ONLY way for a person buy food.

I will ABSOLUTELY agree with Legalizer that every generation thinks that their generation is the one that will witness the mark of the beast and "claim" to hath understanding like i just did. June 6, 2016? Hmm, perhaps you refer to the Asteroid Tutatus? It came dangerously close to earth every 4 years. It is said that it will closest in 2016. You may have something there.

As far as not putting in too much weight on Revelations. You are RIGHT. The book of Revelations has no dates or times to check for. The only date may be 6-6-6 though. Of all the scriptures this line about the beast is the ONLY line that does quote "let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast" Which is something that all who have opened eyes can see before it is truly reveiled.

About the date though: There is no solid "proof" that the mark of the beast will take the form of a microchip, although I must admit the passages in Revelations sound eerily familiar to what is going on now. That's why, like FreeThinker said, the date 6/6/06 is invalid. Putting speculation aside, why can't 1806 be 6/6/06, or 1906, or 3006? If we were certain that a microchip would be the mark of the beast, things would be much different. By the way, the chip isn't getting nearly the amount of publicity it should be getting if it is only a year away from becoming mandatory. Many people will want to resist putting something under their skin (myself included), and you can be rest assured that the government will take awhile before making this mandatory so that they can quell fears. The first step would be to spread the information out into the public. Make sure everyone knows what the chip is, how it works...etc. The next step would be to make the implant voluntary, then finally mandatory. This will probably take more than a year to do...but then again, I'm only speculating...

Fair enough. I can easily be swayed to believe any and all possibilities INCLUDING that i'm just fantasizing. 666 i believe is the beginning of what will eventually evolve to worse things. The Main thing about America itself is that the people act like they are high and mighty in it because of the quote "We The People". But in reality, they're just words. The Supreme Court in less than week has voted into law that they can take your payed property from you and just today they've abolished all forms of the Ten Commandments from the Court Houses in America. NONE of this went challeged by "We The People". F-n' UNBELIEVEABLE!

If all this happened in this short period of time and went unchallenged, just think what drastic measures they would implement into law if terrorists detonate a nuke within our borders?

oh, i forgot one little note about the Supreme Court. I had already said i think that the Supreme Court is the Beast because they have 9 heads and so does the Beast as described in Revelations. Revelations also tells of the Beast destroying all forms of Christianity while having reign on the Earth. Being as today Christianity is being pushed more and more out of the light and now being voted into law, how can one think the Beast's plans aren't in motion?

Why is it almost universally assumed that 666 refers to someone/something in the future? Revelation was written for the people of its day, not for some distant future generation. 666 (or 616) had significance to them.

That said, something of great significance will in fact happen on June 6, 2006. The movie "The Beast" will open that day. The Beast movie

the microchip implants have been around for a while, I have one. You really think the government is going to allow people to be unchipped and stuff? There are people who need to be tracked, some people do sneaky stuff.

I guess I could see some criminals being tagged. For example, it might be a good idea for rapists to be tagged once they're released. It may deter them from committing a future crime, and help to put them behind bars if they still do. Honesly though, I'd bet that a lot of people will fight against implants. So many that the government would be foolish not to listen. More than likely some compromise will be made.

For example, the government may require everyone to have these ID's, but not under the skin. I wouldn't get an implant, but I'd gladly wear a wristband or put something in my wallet. Of course, there is the problem of losing it but I'd prefer that to having something permanently put into my body against my will.

I feel the same as you zhangmaster, i wouldn't want an implant either. However, if the implants were ordered by the "Holier-than-thou" Supreme Court you'd be forced to. A wristband or I.D. badge could easily be obtained/stolen by a would-be terrorist.

Perhaps new born babies would have them implanted? No one can order you to give up your D.N.A. for record keeping (unless your a suspect in a crime). However, when babies are born their D.N.A. is kept. In 30-40 years as Majority of the population will have their D.N.A. on file. This decision wasn't up to the people, it was put into law by the Supreme Court. I'm not saying it's "wrong". I'm just stating a point that WE the people have no say in such matters.

And another note zhangmaster, you say that a lot of people would fight against the implants, i agree. The scripture in the Bible says that those that won't accept the mark of the Beast will be the persecuted ones. They will be rounded up and hunted down. Without the mark they will be unable to buy food or anything for that matter.

Has it occured to you that the US government only has jurisdiction over the US? If the US becomes too tyrannical, people will go elsewhere.

Even for Biblical end-times proponents, the idea that some implant enforced by law in the US counts as the mark of the beast makes no sense. You have to have a world-wide authority that enforces it globally before you can draw such parallels.

Has it occured to you that:

1) Other countries may not want and have the right to reject Americans coming to their country

2) Americans would much rather fight it than leave. After all, it IS their home.

Let's say that you just bought a new home worth $400,000. All your friends, neighbors and even a few family members are accepting the implant. Out of curiousity, what would you do if it happened?

The point is, some tyrannical law in the US can not reasonably be pointed to as the mark of the beast. It would have to be worldwide before you could even begin to draw such a parallel.

But in answer to your question, I'm already planning for a contingient exodus from the US, as it is accelerating toward tyranny at a breathtaking rate since 9/11. I would be more than willing to smuggle goods in to any family members/friends who refused to take the implant. The fed can't even keep drugs out - a purely recreational thing, how the hell could they keep a black market from forming for necessities? All you have to do is bribe cops and you can get away with anything low profile.

If I just bought a $400,000 house and suddenly new tyrannical laws passed that made me want to leave, I'd try to sell. If the market tanked as a result of the laws and it meant taking a big loss, I'd just walk away from the mortgage.

How can you sell it if you don't have the chip which makes you American? You have no rights as an individual unless you get the chip to reinstate you as an American.
