well I have been brought up to speek up against unfairness and to appologise when I've been wrong. I will probably teach my children the same things I guess. I just wish I could keep my mouth shut more often, for sometimes I get really confused with things. The margins are often microscopic in the subjects I study, and details are everything in this subject. Every sentance in Revelation is a referance to the Tannakh, the gospel or other related scripture. "It's the number of a man... Here is wisdom... 666" it says, for instance. This is a referance to Ezra 2:13 about this certain Adonikam who in the cencus after the Return from Babylon had 666 prople of his family with him. The number of Adonikam was 666 or "The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and six." Ezra was called the Scribe because of his wisdom and knowledge of things. It was Ezra who rewrote the 70 books including the Tannakh after the Babylonians had destroyed them.
This is a clue that many people have closen to dismiss, for they don't see the signifficant details here.

But the thing is that Adonikam means the Lord of Rising. This is actually a Hebrew version of the name Ba'al Sebul (the risen Lord) often complicated to Ba'al Sebub or Beelzebub which has the humorous meaning Lord of the Flies. Any way we learn that 666 has to do with Satan, Ba'al, astrology and Babylon. It also has a referance to Egypt, for the descendants of the second son of Noah, Kam, the Hamites, were the Egyptians. 666 is the number of the Babylonian Zodiak which is a development of the Egyptian Mazzaroth, the highest priest and the highest zodiakal god.

This is how the Bible is written and how everything can be solved if you just do your homework. The Hebrew language is rich with meanings to words. One word can mean several different things all depending on which words they respond and point to. For instance. The last time we hear of the Ark of Covenant in the Tannakh, a leader among the people was called "God is hidden". Go on further and you'll end up where the Ark is hidden. Well it is probably already found if we are to believe late amateur archaeologist Ron Wyatt.

The margins are small and if you miss out a tiny detail, you end up with the wrong answer. But the answer is nearly always right infront of you.....

Blessings,
Mikromarius

Helen,
I beg to differ, according to historical Christianity:
"And the Sabbath is the Old Testament..."
The Sabbath has always been a "sign' unto his people, the "mark' of God. Look at a calender and one will see that though the Roman Catholic Church decreed the change of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday...the Christians of old adherred to the Sabbath prior to the change and then many did after. The calender only confirms exactly what day of the week was the historical "first" and what was the historical "last".

The Church changed the Sabbath for convenience and as a sign of her authority over Christians and to set herself apart from Jews, who still, to this day, observe the Sabbath...just as Jesus observed the Sabbath. Again, he said, he did not come to abolish the commandments, but to fulfill them...his words do not deviate from their meaning nor their implications.

I will also remind you that the Book of Revelations states and reinforced by the preceeding Book of 1John:
"......, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." (Rev. 12:17)

"Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." (Rev. 14:12)

"Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city." (Rev. 22:14)

"His commandments.....commandments of God"....this does not imply the "commandments of men". There is no deviation from what these scriptures imply. Meaning man changed the Sabbath, the 'mark' and 'sign' of the Christian and Biblical God...not God, nor Jesus....they neither gave authority to the 'church' to change the Sabbath......
I do recall that there is a saying in the Bible that says something like: not one dot, one jot, one whatever will be changed...... (something like that) Thus, again, affirming that the 'church' was not given authority to change the Sabbath nor anything else........

So if someone has no faith and is brought up not to believe in nothing at all..does that mean he can never come to the truth???
There have been many people who lived a life in sin and came to know the truth and abandoned their previous lifestyle to come to the truth!

Constantine was that person.....but he came to the truth because his mother was a rightious person ...he abandoned what he believed in and came to know the true God...
stmaryofegypt.org...

The word Pascha means "passover" or "deliverance" in Hebrew. The Jews, in celebrating the Old Testament passover, commemorated the liberation of their forebears from Egyptian slavery.
Christians, on the other hand, in celebrating the New Testament Pascha, celebrate the deliverance through Jesus Christ of the entire human race from slavery to the Devil and His granting to us life and eternal blessedness.
Due to the blessings which we have received through the Resurrection of Christ, Pascha is the feast of feasts and the triumph of triumphs, and therefore its divine services are distinguished by magnificence and an exceptionally solemn rejoicing.

Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive... "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:20-22 and 55-57).

This still does not erase what is implied by the Book of Revelations.... nor the commandments of God.

Ephesians 2:8
8. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--
9. not by works, so that no one can boast.
10. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Romans 3:20
20. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
21. But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.
22. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,
23. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24. and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

You see since I am under Grace rather than the Law, I do not need to follow the dictates of the Law. Therefore I can worship my Lord on any day I care to chose since the Sabbath Legislation was part of the Law. Also Easter is just a name, the date does occur around Passover. Even though I am not a Roman Catholic (I am a neo Calvinist), I get tired of people bashing the Roman Catholic Church (especially for such trival things as going to church on Sunday rather than Saturday). Incidently my old fellowship always consider Wednesday to be an important day of worship (mid week meeting). I think I should start bashing certain Christians on this forum because they do not point out the importance of going to church on Wednesday.

Thankyou Seekerof for clearing this up!

Mat 18:6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

Rev 18:21 Then a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "So will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer.

This should be sufficient to understand exactly what plans God has with the Roman Church.

People just do not seem to understand that the OLD TESTAMENT AND THE NEW TESTAMENT FIT TOGETHER.....
You cannot take words from here and there and fit them to suit your own or other peoples ideas of what the Bible is telling you.!!!

It has always been this way and will keep on going this way !

I for one do not consider myself to be worthy to go translating the HOLY BIBLE to suit my own mind!!!

Coming upon the Ethiopian as he read the Old Testament in his chariot, Philip the Apostle asked him, "Understandest thou what thou readest?" And the Ethiopian answered, "How can I, unless some man should guide me?" (Acts 8:30-31).

if you are not worthy to translate is your preacher?

and if so do you have faith in him, does he have faith in his "lord"...

in other words

its like a chain of command...

when you are excluded from the chain of command will you then be wrong,, will you be confused, will you run around like a faithless chicken with its head cutoff?

but if you follow the father you are no longer in the chain of command...

for then you are no longer commanded but you actually follow the father...

its rather simple actually, simplistically wise...

What makes you so sure that you follow the Father? Also since the Father caused a book to be written, then what is written in the book is His Word.

Far OUT!!!

oK.........do you people understand that Jesus Christ left the Apostles to go out and teach the world of His ways???

Do you not know that He also told them to spread the word of God ???
At each city and town that the Apostles traveled they would appoint a bishop to continue to minister to the faithful, before leaving on their missionary journeys. As the Church grew, the bishops in turn had to appoint priests and deacons to help them with their flock...

www.orthodoxphotos.com...

At the Mystical Supper, the Lord revealed the mystical truth of the establishment of the New Testament: This cup is the New Testament in My blood. This truth became the subject of the Apostles' preaching.

Nevertheless, the Old Testament remains the foundation on which the Church of Christ stands and rises up to the heavens.
The cornerstones of this foundation are the books of the Old Testament Bible: the nomothetic, historical, didactic and prophetic books. They contain great prophecies about Christ and an almost unlimited number of foreshadowings and reflections of the coming New Testament. In them, we hear early calls to repentance, meekness, and mercy, which were later proclaimed in all their force and depth in the preaching of the Gospel.

those passages where Wisdom is depicted in an especially vivid way, as a personal being, as the hypostatic Wisdom, the New Testament accepts this as a reference to the Son of God, Jesus Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God, as we read in Saint Paul (1 Cor. 1:24). Such an interpretation is given, for example, to the passage from Proverbs which is often read in church during Vespers, and which begins, Wisdom has built a house for herself, and setup seven pillars... (Prov. 9:1-6).
Thus, the sacred author is transferring our thoughts directly into the New Testament, to the preaching of the Gospel, to the mystery of the Eucharist and the organization of the Church of Christ; here the Old Testament is already on the threshold of the New.

I had a guy once come up to me......he sat down and he said..'''You know ? I speak to God!
I said...How do you know it is God?
He said....Because it is his angels that come to me as small children! How can God not love all children?

He then pointed to a fly on his shoulder and said''See this fly........It is the devil!!! He is trying to listen to me and is following me around!

Well this man thought that if he saw children ...there was no way that the devil could possibly become like a child and lie to him......how foolish is this??? especially since the EYES we have can see alot but can also fool many!!!

This man obviously did not make contact with God or his angels.....how do I know???
Well.......by their fruits you will know!!!

The Bible tells us to fast and do as Christ did .....DO WE???
how can we trust in our own minds and hearts that God is really speaking to us???
Do we fast and keep the traditions and teachings of the Apostles that were handed down fro Jesus Christ Himself???
AI myself do not do all that is required of me......how then can I say that I know God ???
How can I say that I truly speak and hear His words /....If I do not do what is expected of me ''Free will'' how then can I say I hear what God tells me???

I know what He wants because He has spoken to Rightious people..Saints of God.....Those people led lives of pure faith and fasting, praying and doing what Jesus Christ taught......their lives imitated the life of Jesus Christ......
Now........do you mean to tell me that WE are like those people???
We fast and pray and hold on to the traditions of the early church being from the Apostles that Jesus Christ sent out to the world???

Helen:

Here's a prophetic riddle for you: Who was Jesus talking about when he said:

"Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

Here's some help. Saul was the enemy of David. Paul means small. Peter means Rock. Peter taught circumsission and the Law. Saulus Paulus taught freedom from the Law and abolished circumsission in order to gain more followers.

Helen, I am sorry. I forgot that you are an Aussie (on offense) and may not quite understand the term, but you have it. It seems that today that there are many who think they can find "truth" in a total vacuum and will ingore the revealed truth of the Word of God. They say that we Christians are the ones who are being controlled. However, sometimes I suspect that those "truth" seekers are listening to sources who wish to control them with a different version of the "truth". These people cannot accept the simple fact that the Grand conspiracy of the Christian Church was nothing more than the desire to spread the Gospel of Christ.

Now Helen. Who do you trust the most? Jesus or Paul?

Jesus says: "Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments."

Paul says: "But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter."

The only Apostle who was able to prevail and overcome the persecution was John. They tortured him and destroyed his body, but since he was a rightious man he prevailed and was able to hear the end of the story told by Jesus through his Angel. All the others fell short.

Jesus said: "For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven."

Mikromarius

How would you interpret the following passages???

John 3:16
16. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Mark 16:15
15. He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
16. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

John 3:31
31. "The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all.
32. He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony.
33. The man who has accepted it has certified that God is truthful.
34. For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.
35. The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.
36. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."

John 11:15
25. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;
26. and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
