Cruise To Katie: Marry Me!

Tom Cruise has popped the question.

Speaking in Paris Friday morning, with actress Katie Holmes by his side, Cruise told reporters about the proposal only a few hours after it happened: "Yes, I proposed to her... it was early this morning at the Eiffel Tower, so I haven't slept at all."

Cruise, who turns 43 next month, and Holmes, who is 26, made the announcement at a news conference. The young actress apparently said "Yes." She was sporting an outsized ring.

They're both on high profile promotion tours for big budget movies, but Cruise and Holmes said their announcement is no publicity stunt and their affection is not just acting,

Assuming Katie and Tom make it to the chapel I cant see the marriage lasting longer then five minutes. Some times Hollywood stars show the public what not to do in this case rushing into marriage.

Tom ego is being stoked and Katie is living her childhood dream I dont think it is a good recipe for there marriage.

She's backing up the Brinks truck as we speak.

I wonder why that guy can't ever find a woman that's shorter than he is.

Right, the big problem is that we do. People are conditioned to care more about meaningless garbage like this and less about things like Iraq and the Patriot Act. It's all part of the dumbing down of the masses.

Well may the little nutty couple be happy. I give it a year if that and girlfriend walks with a nice bank roll. Maybe Cruises job is to keep bringing in the ladies to church, kinda like a poster boy.
