Shiites Press for Talks With Insurgents

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Insurgents fired mortar rounds at a funeral for the mother of one of Iraq's most senior police generals on Sunday, killing two people, and the Shiite-led government pressed the need to open talks with insurgent groups.

why press for a talk with the insurgence. thats not what the want they want to kill everyone that do not argree with them, they do not want a free Iraq they do not want a stabilized middle east. thats what the insurgence whole reason for being there if they have talks with the Shiites all they will do is lie. and they would try to find new weeknesses in the Iraqi government and try to destroy their(Iraqi) new found democracy. don't give in to these insurgence destroy or capture them force them out of Iraq.
