Make Your Predictions for the Future

I just had an idea for what could become an interesting thread. Let's all contribute some predictions for the future. Then if this forum survives as long as I think it's going to, we can all come back and see who was right, who was close, and who was way off.

I'll start...

Martian Life - I believe on the very first manned trip to Mars we will discover life. Not just evidence of past life, but real, active, simple organisms which currently reside on Mars.

Hillary Clinton - I believe Hillary Clinton will run for President and she will lose. No matter who her opponent is...

The Next Einstein - I believe the next Einstein is alive right now, a child, and when he (or she) matures, we will finally be presented with a Unification theory (the theory of everything), tying together the worlds of Physics, Mechanics, Relativity etc... I believe this will happen by 2065.

A New Space Race - I believe there is a new space race coming and it will dwarf the original space race between the US and USSR. The next space race will be nearly global, with countries, corporations, and individuals all vying for riches and power in space. China will become a major player, as will Japan and Canada. We should expect several countries to race to the moon again, and private space hotels and space cruises will be everywhere. By 2060.

Predictions for the future.... anybody?

I think this will probably be moved to the Predictions forum, but I had to respond to your tagline. Hilarious. Welcome troy.

I am not much for predictions but I believe nuke war will happen within twenty years. Maybe not. A lot depends on the individual minds that comprise the human race. If enough of them experience a paradigm shift, then I may change this opinion. As long as the USA researches new nukes while its people suck down TV programs like American Idol and so forth, what hope is there? Stupidity pays dividends too.

Having said that, if the nuke problem were solved, my predictions would be these:

1: Psychic abilities will become much more commonplace. Call it evolution if you will, but humans will get much smarter and preceptive, en masse.

2: Materialism will fade as an 'old way' of living. Acquisiton of material goods as 'trophies' of a successful life is actually a very outmoded way of living and people will begin to see this. If you had to personally carve your Hummer out of the rainforest, most people wouldn't drive one. I think that connection will be made more evident as humans evolve and material prizes will not be valued much in the future.

3: Sex will become more accepted. Is Janet Jackson's tit more offensive than "Faces of Death"? Obviously some folks think so based on what I've seen recently on TV. I think this lie will be dropped eventually. Sex (with birth control, mind you) is good and it is fun. Eventually humans will accept this.

...Here's hoping we make it.

1. Economic Collapse - Worldwide and Not Because of Peak Oil, but because of accounting errors and EURO collapse.

2. Supervolcano will go off within the next 100 years.

3. Nuclear War with North Korea

4. Israel will be destroyed when Abbas tears apart the peace accord.

5. China will become a Superpower in the next 50 years and will want to expand.

6. Russia will again become The U.S.S.R.

7. America will elect a Woman President within the next 3 elections

8. A Police State in America

9. A New American Revolution

10. A lot of people will die

11. Earth Changes will become more rapid. Coastal Flooding within next 100 years.

12. Mars will be a waste of time and money

13. Aliens will be discovered to be futuristic American Spyplanes

14. New Weapons of Massive Destructive Force will be used

15. nWo will try to take over the world. and YOU will stop it!

We might end up killing ourselves, its a possibiliy...

I'm not sure about the Euro collapse, mainly because the media are overblowing the crisis the rejection by France and Holland of the EU constitution.

I think the constitution will be changed, and eventually, the EU may grow to be a global superpower, along with China and India, and possibly Russia forming a relation with the EU, but it will not always be steady.

Agreed. I think it may well be the one that resides under Yellowstone Park in America. It is said that if it erupts, it will decimate the American and European continents

I can see a change in leadership in Israel, one not for the better. Either Sharon is toppled or forced to stand down, or else in the future, the IDF make a military coup directly, or supporting radical right wingers, who wish to preserve a Greater Israel. Israel will become a rogue state to all but America, and even then, their relations will be of mistrust. Israel could well be destroyed, but not neccesarily by neighbouring nations.

China will indeed achieve superpower status, but it will not be alone in the region in being so. It will attempt to expand, however, the rural workers will dissent, bloodshed may follow, as internal strife is hidden by China's military aggression.

North Korea, if it does not have a war within the next 5-10 years, will adopt capitalist polices, but will remain secretive. It may well move closer to South Korea, flaring relations with China, who may intervene.

A more nationalist sentiment shall arise in Russia, as it attempts to rebuild an empire.

Intervention shall be in The Ukraine, where leaders are undermined, and in the South, where miners are encouraged to dissent. The Russians shall offer to be peacekeepers, as the south marches on the North in dissent. The Ukrainian military fires upon them, and civil war looms. Russia intervenes, the EU also, led by the baltic states stance, in a race for the future of The Ukraine.

Georgia will also see meddling by Russia, as Georgia seeks to be a member of the EU, war looms, and Georgia's leader is undermined by those within.


In Pakistan, calls for democratic reform grow, Democracy will be attempted, but soon plunges into turmoil, as Islamic insurgents seek to make Pakistan an Islamic state. Musharraf loses control, and Pakistan is destabilised, as protesters calling for reform, and insurgents seeking an Islamic state, unleash their campaigns, and democracy will be attempted again, to military impatience who fight Islamic insurgents with futility.

As long as unconciousness is pervasive, so the rule of the NWO shall try to apply.

Overall, I have sensed for the past few weeks something bad has either happened, or is going to happen, and it will affect us all. The wheels are in motion, and from what I sense, it can not be stopped. It will happen. And it's horrific. I do not know what it is.

I have had that feeling also... And I notice it's not only me. People seem more quiet and more secretive. Since we have a lot of conspiracies going on we have to narrow down the possibilities. So here they are.

1. NWO is coming.
2. End of the world as predicted by Mayan calendar.
3. Alien attack/disclosure.
4. World War 3.
5. Climatical change.
6. 2006 Apocalypse (In 2006 we will have a day that is 666)
7. Spiritual reason.
8. Any natural causes not listed.


Ill do my part but someone please narrow down these conspiracies. They cant be ALL true (What a nice idea for the short stories forum ^^) . I have exams so I won't be able to spend a lot of time on this. Also if a Mod sees this ( ) and thinks it should be moved to a main Ats forum please move it (Im not so good at making decesions.) :shk::shk:

My predictions for the Future.

- Gas Prices are going to go up Nation wide, to the National Average of $3.00 a gallon. In some areas it will be as high as $4.50

- A Huge box set of The Star Wars Movies will come out. And the Lost "Star War Holiday Special" will be release in limited distribution.

The War on poor and the Non-Whites. Governmental Racism and Classism will become apparent in the next two years. It's not the fault of the Whites or the Wealthy ****it's the government that going to be pushing these programs.****

- Many cities are drafting plans, in the name of "Urban Renewal" to bulldoze Low-income houses and Non-White Areas. I forsee legal battles and shame on cities. Maybe even riots! "This isn't a race issue.." WILL be the big lie will be told.

- Conscription Act 2005/2006. To Start a limited Military draft. This again will target mostly Non-Whites and Low-Income to be drafted into the Army or Marines. The wealthy will be exempt for one reason or another.

My prediction:

If not George Bush himself, either Cheney or Condaleeza will be president in 2008, cause they are the only ones who feel they can win the war on terror- and Americans will support them after an attack on the USA.

5000+ people die every year. I am not sure on the exact number, 128 persons born per second world wide. 90+ deaths per second world wide...(due to every known cause).

I originally tried to start this thread in the main ATS forum and unfortunately it was moved here. I think I would have liked it better in the main forum because it's mainly about predictions for the future of space and technology etc... But instead I get the "Dreams and Predictions" forum.

Anytime time frame for that? I predict that in about 2-3 years at the current rate.

I predict the Holiday Special will not be released as it's a national embarrasment that should be forgotton.

Not going to happen for many reason. A few:
1. Politicians won't allow it as that's their votes. Especially with Non-whites growing rapidly (mainly the Hispanic population)
2. Businesses won't allow it as that's taking money out of their pockets.
3. There's no reason for it.

My prediction - Non-Whites will continue to make gains in status, wealth, political power, etc. There's no reason or sign of that changing. I don't see any huge changes as far as the poor are concerned.

Actually, this I kind of agree on. Because that's not a prediction, that's happening now, and has for a while. There haven't been any riots because of this and I don't see any in the future. And they're not outright bulldozing the houses. It's much more subtle. What they're doing is building areas up, even renovating low-income housing. Good right? Well, not if you can't afford it. So they build an area up, prices everywhere skyrocket, and the poor (this doesn't just affect non-whites) are forced to move.

This isn't going to happen for many reasons. A few:
1. The military won't allow it.
2. There's no need for it.
3. Politicians won't allow it as it would be political suicide to support something like that.

I predict, I'm going out on a limb here, but I predict at least one tornado will hit a farm also.

These are prediction based on my knowlage and dreams I had.
#1,2,3,4,6,7,8 are almost garanteed. The rest are from my trial meditaions and so forth.

1. World War 3 starts but does not gain steam. [2009 - 2011]
2. Faked alien invasion, the last step to initiate the NWO. [2010 - 2012]
3. Current govener of California will become president. (guess who) [2008 - 2012]
4. No true disclosure on aliens, because it will be faked.
5. Space becomes new battlefield. [2020 +]
6. Cure for cancer. [2015 - 2025]
7. NWO starts. [2010 - 2013]
8. NWO is overthrown. [unknown]
9. Isreal and Palistine make peace. [2040 - 2060]
10. Stem-Cell reaserch extend human life-span dramaticaly. [2030 - 2060]
11. Further exploration of the entire solar system. [2055 - 2090]
12. First Interstellar Probe (unmanned). [2080 - 2100]
13. Practical world peace. [2050 - unknown]
14. First evidence of a soul and afterlife scientificaly proven. [2050 - 2070]
15. Human brain enhancement, via implants. [2015 - 2025]
16. Major oil supply on earth runs dry, but pockets of oil are continously found. [2035 - 2048]
17. Genetic engineering becomes the norm, clones, hybrids, manufactured organisims, and "improved" humans. [2007 +]
18. First decent AI will be created. There will be of lots controversy for it's uses. [2015 - 2025]

Can't see Arnie becoming President just yet....that'd need a change to Ye Olde Constitution that just isn't going to happen overnight.

Condi vs. Hillary would be a good battle though....that'd be my prediction for the next election.
