I think it's funny that a significant amount of people assumed it would happen at 3pm (or whatever the magical time was) AMERICAN time. Surely it would be Holy land time or european time or something like that.

You know I have read that before. It was really very interesting about the Roman Tax system, and they gave marks to the people who had paid their taxes. It was how they kept records.

Tell me about it, hell I was watching some crap 2 part serial drama about the end of the world being brought on by intense seismic activity, and the only place affected was the USA! The thing ended with it being split in two down the middle and it was the end of the world! Yeah right, sorry but it is a tad annoying, it's not like American civilisation has been around for long as we know it anyway, hell the Declaration of Independance from England was only 230 years ago. It's one thing I find an incy bit niggling and I know it's not the average American's fault, but let's get some perspective
The governing bodies make America into the school bully of the World armed with a gun - young, naive, feared and dangerous... But not genuinely respected sadly.
