It looks like they synchronized Rosemary's Baby with The Wizard of Oz. This is probably one reason The Beatles decided to use Rosemary's Baby as a synchronization film for their albums, at least as early on as The White Album. The Beatles synchronized albums with The Wizard of Oz all through their career (Please Please Me, Beatles For Sale, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Abbey Road confirmed so far). Of course Rosemary's Baby was synchronized with The Beatles entire record album catalog, probably because The Beatles used The Wizard of Oz for their albums. I'd be almost willing to bet that the three Wizard of Oz start points the Beatles used were used in creating Rosemary's Baby.

Pink Floyd also used both movies for The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall, and indications that the movies were synchronized stem from The Dark Side of the Moon synchronization, where the song entitled Money begins as a dream begins in both movies, dreams which begin immediately after injurious encounters with windows.

The Cure also used both movies, plus Excalibur, for their album entitled Pornography, which leads me to believe that The Beatles and Pink Floyd may have used at least one other movie as synchronization material for the creation of their record albums.

you'll find yourself getting jumped on here for statements like these.
not by me, though!
i'm curious to hear where you're getting these ideas? i've never heard of syncing albums to films. do you mean they matched tempos of their music with the tempos of the music from the flicks? exactly what events are synchronous?

I heard it all before, and I saw a documentary on Pink Floyd where they waved all those statements off. And what reasons don't we have to believe them? Why would someone want to synchronize their song witht eh wizard of oz?

Why do they all choose the wizard of oz?

um, I thought it was Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon that you sync with OZ?

Me and a buddy tried that once. We were pretty stoned at the time, but it seemed to work.

So your saying you start the Wizard of Oz and Pink Floyd- The Dark Side of the Moon at the same time and its supposed to be freaky or something? I don't get it. Do you have to be stoned to get it? What's so unique about the Wizard of Oz anyhow?

Do google on Darkside of the Moon/ Wizard of Oz, I'm sure you'll find several sites on the subject, most with instructions and some with detailed things to look for (Dark side of Oz is very detailed)

I've saw it as a pay-per-view a few years back and I found it quite interesting, I would suggest a good guide to follow so you get the full effect, even without a guide, done in proper sync many things are obvious, like when the film goes from Black and White to Color is when the song Money starts.

Some good visual stuff too, a sometimes missed one is the Triangle and the Rail fence, its a brief scene but if you see it and know what the Album art looks like its a chiller.

It does work, you can download a "sync" of dark side of the moon and the wizard of oz off your P2P download software (Lime Wire, Kazaa) it's called "Dark Side of The Rainbow". It's actually very creepy how the music syncs up to events in the movie. Also, the music changes at scene changes.
