sorry...no link -- it just came across cnn.com's website as an alert -- but they said that w mark felt, an ex fbi official is Deep Throat from Watergate fame!!!

Have to hand it to Wiki. they are really quick.

A CNN article from 2002 had Felt at the top of the list of suspects, which included persons like Kissinger and even Pat Buchanon.

Also, the Hartford Courant newspaper reported that a 19-year-old it interviewed in 1999 said Bernstein's son Jacob had told him that Felt was Deep Throat. Bernstein and his ex-wife, Nora Ephron, deny he ever told his son.

they are quick! wonder how this is gonna turn out. it isnt really news that people think its Felt though. heck even Carl Bernsteins kids had let the cat out of the bag nearly 20 years ago.

Personally, if I was deep throat, I'd have sold my story to Newsweek vs. Vanity Fair...

After that Koran flushing debacle, do you know how much Newsweek would have paid to reveal deep throat??? What a moron....

Then again the right would have probably believed it was hoax if he sold it to newsweek.

its nice that they know who deep throut is but does it really matter any more??? it would be a waste to kill him or otherwise punish him(the guy is in his ninties) so what is the big deal??
