Ok you know you see these documentaries about the tallest man in the world etc.....well the reason he grows so much they said was because of a malfunction in the pituitary gland in the back of the skull.....

well what causes the overactiveness of the gland??? it would be funny if you could feed your cat, dog or guinea pig whatever causes this and WOOHOO!!! ten foot long guinea pig!!!

And o u do realise i wont du this...it is purely for itellectual conversation

www.pituitary.com...

What causes the pituitary to malfunction?

Tumors (overwhelmingly benign), inflammation, infections and injury can cause the gland to malfunction, as well as metastasis or spread of other tumors to the pituitary (rare). Radiation therapy to the brain can also cause normal pituitary cells to malfunction.

its not always bad.....sometimes it is just overactive, for completely non-tumor or disease related things, o yea like u sed if someone has say a head injury...would it suddenly over produce growy stuff???.......

there was an interview of an 8 foot tall man who said that his was overactive and for a while it was pressing on his optical lobes (or the proper name for them....the ones at the back neway) and making his vision blurred.

GIANT HAMSTERS!!!!! (has anyone seen invader zim????!!!!)

Its probably just due to a growth hormone... You could 'grow' everything in this way..

I'd be more interested in miniature elephants and giraffes. Wouldn't that be cool to have a dog sized elephant as a pet?!
