John Titor… please… listen…

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Matt 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many .
Matt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

John Titor is a false prophet if ever I’ve seen one. I’ve seen people on this forum believe his stories and in the next breath admit they have done no research on him. I have seen others who have done some research, state that they are not sure, and then go on to say “but I want to believe”

Are your lives so empty?? What is it you hate about your own life that makes you desperately reach out to the first exciting semi believable story in hope?

I have given some of my reasons for thinking he is a fake on other threads, so I am not going to get into that here, the main reason for this is to express my feelings on this subject and why I feel that so many people are following JT.

The thing with false prophets is that they can take up so much “time” and I don’t mean going for a ride in his time travelling DeLorean car!

We spend hours researching this subject but to what aim? Even if he is proved to be a real time-traveller then what?

These type of people are dangerous, they no that the “End Times” is near and that most people (even non religious) can feel it. So they feel your minds with garbage to divert you from the truth.

What is the truth and why do people follow JT’s stories?

Think about this… What are humans here for? What is it that we all do that links us?

The answer is worship…

We are all designed to worship God.

Oooooooh controversy!!!!

But wait just one moment before spitting blasphemous words at your monitor, declaring you are an Atheist who worships nothing or no-one, and think about it.

“You know when you have found true happiness when you stop looking for things that make you happy”

Is that a fair statement?

Some people worship material items (Cars, CD’s, DVD’s, HiFi sytems, Etc…)
Some people worship sporting teams (football, baseball, rugby, Etc…)
Some worship science (Research, design, discovery, Etc…)
Some worship sex, some worship drugs, the list goes on…

But the one thing about all of the things we worship is that we are never fulfilled.
If we worship material items we are always searching for the next DVD or the latest HiFi.
If we worship sporting teams we are always searching for the next win or the next team signing.
Science is always searching for an answer (normally one that proves the last one wrong)
If its sex we search for the next partner or way of increasing the sensations of the experience. And junkies are always searching for there next fix.

The only form of worship that does not require you to keep on searching is when you have truly found God. And I am not talking about the fake Christians who think that, because they put £5 in the collection box on Sunday, they can then turn there back on a homeless person or refuse to help a neighbour declaring “ive done my bit” Or the fake Muslim who thinks that because he has done his prayers 5 times a day he can visit the Casino. Or the Jew who thinks that because he has faith in God means he can mock the Muslim.

I am talking about someone who is truly connected to God. In a way that places yourself and your needs a distant 3rd place behind God and your fellow humans.

It is only through worshiping God and following his rules that we find true happiness.

This is why people like John Titor are so dangerous. False prophets.

They divert us from the truth and have us caught up in half debates and rumour. Time that should be spent worshiping God or helping others.

If you want to know the future than read the Bible. Do not follow some crackpot fake who glues bits of oscilloscope’s and airforce parts to the dashboard of his car declaring he knows the future.

People follow John Titor because their lives are empty.

Do not let a sinful past turn you from God in shame. Jesus died for your sins so that you may be forgiven.

Anyway… I’ve spent just a couple of hours dragging up from the BBC archives some stories that back up Bible prophesy. There is so much more that I haven’t included but some of you may find this interesting.

"And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"

Matthew 24:3

And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

Matthew 24:6-7

Interesting….

Locust

And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key to the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke the locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

And I beheld that when he opened the sixth seal...there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth, and the moon became as blood; and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. War of Armageddon

And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had the hair of women, and their teeth were the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like scorpions, and there stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Revelation 9:6-12

And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice...saying, loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand. And thus I saw the horse in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire and of jacinth and brimstone: and the heads of the horse were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed

Holy buckets, you put a lot of effort and time into this thread. I hope it was not from a comment of mine on another thread. Excellent work Under. But I have to disagree that Titor is not a false profit. All he did was encourage us to prepare for an upcoming war, he did not mislead us away from the truth of religion. Infact, I do not recall him ever talking about religion excpet that he feared in 2036 Jesus was there and he had missed it.

And no, I don't beleive Titor is real.

For your wonderful thread and the time and research I give you my way above vote for this month.

Wow, that was alot of work. Good job!
I don't believe that John Titor was who he said he was. But as to a false prophet, well, his telling of things to come can be considered prophecy since it hasn't happened yet. So I guess that makes him a false prophet in my eyes.

Thanks Stacey,

No it was not aimed at you or any other one person... just the comunity as a whole. I did find myself falling into the trap of giving sharp sarcastic replies to JT post's but then thought to myself that mocking people is not the correct way to do it. So i just thought id poor my heart out about the whole subject and get it all off my chest.

To be honest i was expecting to be flamed to bits by all the Titor fans out there to thanks guys, for your kind comments so far.

Otherwise, your post is easy & clear to read ((but does border on Evangelizing))

as per this Source:

It is part of traditional Christian belief, found in the Nicene Creed and Second Peter, that the Holy Spirit "spoke through the prophets" concerning the intentions of God for his people.

well, i'm with MauiStacey on the JT assessment...
as he (JT) is more like a Paul Revere, shouting & warning that
the conflicts are approaching.!!
a warning, or wake-up-call as it were.
as opposed to being a seer or a True-or-False prophet

i think his (JTs) story is a well constructed fabrication
but, as with any other fiction,
to be enjoyed, considered, but not dwelled upon to the point of
enshrinement or religious status.

Well... isn’t a prophet someone who knows and/or has seen the future and reveals that future to people??

Therefore isn’t someone who cannot see the future but tells tales of the future, in an attempt to trick/deceive, a false prophet??

JT is shouting a warning... which he claims to be fact as opposed to speculation. He does not state... "I have looked at the evidence, weighed up the facts and decided that this ----- insert prediction----- is a possibility for the future.

Instead he say's that he is from the future and therefore "knows" what will happen in the future. What he is giving, according to him, is not a warning... its cold hard facts.

It also depends on if you are a religious person or not.

From an atheists point of view he is either a person from the future or a harmless nut job (after all who cares if people wanna spend their time following this guy)

From a religious persons point of view he is leading people astray and encouraging them to fantasise about nonsense instead of focusing on God.

I find the John Titor phenomena very interesting . . . I would not call him a false prophet because we all know that is just a very good possibility that he was having a good time telling his stories.

Now in the biblical context people need to remember that the only reason the "false prophets" issue is in the bible was to make sure that no Christian would believe any other stories or prophecies that were not from the bible itself.

So taking that in consideration I rest my case.

I still like Titor phenomena and you can not to take away the fact that is an ATS exclusive.
and . . . ATS is after all a conspiracy site.

I disagree with the 'true happiness can only come from God' part of your message. You forget that people switch religions as much as any other hobby/interest.

God is not important or needed in our lives. True happiness comes only when toghether with other people. Humans are a social race meaning we want other people around us. It's only then we are truly happy.

Individuals who for some reason or other is prevented from being part of a group, or the individual feel it don't belong, he or she often die by suicide (after a period of unhappiness).

Fanatic groups often recruite people who have difficult to find friends and such. Like the nazist groups often consist of members so desperate for social relationship that they joined because noone else wanted them.

So because we are social creatures I'd like for us all to have contact with all those who are around us... meaning god(s), angels, elfs, aliens.
I belive such contact would work out all right, because we are social creatures. Being social creatures makes us in many way hive like. Odd, huh?

I disagree. I am happiest when I am alone pursuing whatever project I am involved with. It doesn't mean that I am unhappy when around others. But I don't need other people to make my happiness. I make my own happiness.

As long as a side bar to this conversation has turned into the subject of happiness i'm going to address that first. Happiness is a choice. THATS ALL IT IS! You can wake up each morning and decide its going to be a crappy day and your going to have a terrible time of it, or you can wake up and appreciate that you have another day to live.

Being happy is a choice you make and it does not matter where you are, what you are when you are or even why you are. All that matters is who you are and only you can decide that. Choose to be happy and you will be.

Now, on to the prophecies of Titor. I'd love to say he's a wacko or even a false prophet but to be honest, I haven't a clue as to who he is. Yes, i've read stories on here about his being some sort of time travelor or such, but i've yet to be interested enough to look him up.

I'm not worried about the future or the past. I'm far more interested in who I am right now and how I can be better.

When your heart is at peace with the life your living and your soul is at peace with your creator, (whoever you consider that creator to be) everything else is just icing on the cake.

Love and light my friends,

Wupy

You are correct that this is a conspiracy site and obviously most things on here are just peoples theories and ideas. Well I’ve got my own conspiracy theory... We are being conned into thinking that God does not exist.

Thats gotta be the biggest conspiracy of all!!

People switch religions because of other people... let me explain...

Most of the time when people are searching for God they visit Church's/Mosque's/Synagogues Etc... Now... just because someone claims to be a Christian, for example, does not instantly make them a saintly angel who can do no wrong. In fact there are whole Churches out there that are full of corruption and wicked judgemental people. That is why you get so many people leaving the Church saying "Christianity aint for" and then continue there spiritual journey down a different path.

That is not someone who has yet found God, but someone who has become unhappy with a social group.

If human beings are only truly happy when with other people then why are the most crimes committed in Cities?? Why do we get crowd violence??

It is not natural to be surrounded by people, although i do agree that we are social, and i have to agree with Darkelf when he says that some of his happiest times is when he is on his own. We do need some solitude, and for me this is a time for prayer and reflection. For others its projects and hobbies. And some, just a walk in the park will do

Oh... one last thing...

mrwupy - Happiness is just a choice eh??

Tell that to a starving child who has to walk three miles just to get some water!

Words have meaning. If you attempt to assign a new meaning to a word, you diminish its old meaning. You are attempting to redefine "worship" to mean "enjoy" in one context, and then reverting to its previous meaning in the next context. This is a form of deception called equivocation.

You discredit your evangelical message by employing deceitful means. If I know you are willing to employ deceit, why should I give any credence to your claim that "worship" of god is the key to happiness?

Worship

1) The reverent love and devotion accorded a deity, an idol, or a sacred object.
2) The ceremonies, prayers, or other religious forms by which this love is expressed.
3) Ardent devotion; adoration.
4) often Worship Chiefly British Used as a form of address for magistrates, mayors, and certain other dignitaries: Your Worship.

People can worship without even realising they are doing it. Just because you may see it as enjoying does not make it so. There are many people who worship material items and treat them as sacred. Ive heard of people breaking down in tears because their car has been scratched. You get people who clean and wax their cars every day even though it does not need cleaning. They spend every moment they can tweaking, tuning and caring for their car. Is this not a form of ritual you would associate with worship??

I have friends who are fanatic football fans... The have season tickets and attend every game (Mass) Spend all of their hard earned cash to travel to various parts of the country (pilgrimage) and will sing at the top of their voices when there team is playing. Is this not a form of worship??? Do they not hold their team sacred??

Anyway I could go on but I feel you are just being pedantic.

Stop nit-picking and look at the wider message please.

I think you know what im going to say.....what is jesus was a false prophet and that your paradigm of morals is based on this false phopet?
People are much further away from the truth than you think.

Wang...

Very good point indeed

Although the message i am trying to get across, in part of my post, is that since we have turned our backs on the 3 main religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) we have lost our way and lost our purpose. Hence our need to fill the void with nonsense like JT. I am obviously a Christian, but do still have a deep respect for the other two main faiths and believe that society has lost all moral values since the fashionable age of religion bashing. What angers me is when people religion bash in one breath and in the next say... "oooh look at this guy... he's from the future and fly’s a space car"

Now some people may see it as silly to follow the Bible or Koran... but please... i would rather follow something that is thousands of years old and historically sound then some bloke who popped up in a chat room one day saying "hi, I’m from the future but have no proof"

And to answer your question "What if Jesus was a false prophet"

Well then i have spent my life helping my friends, being loyal and true to my wife, crime free, respectful of my neighbours, loving people, turning the other cheek and giving to the needy etc... Not that bad is it??

Just in case any of you think im trying to paint a picture of myself as perfect, don’t worry, im far from perfect. I have my fair share of... er... bad moments. Its just that religion helps to bring me back to the right path so that i may never stray to far

I'm sure you'll just consider this another nit pick, but Judaism is not a major religion. The third largest group (after Christian and Muslim) is nonbelievers, representing about 16% of the worlds population. Hinduism, traditional Chinese religion, Buddhism, inigenous religions, African diasporic, Sikhism, Juche and spiritism each have more followers than Judaism. "Judao-Christian" is a term invented by Zionists to enhance their own stature.
