For WWII to happen, a proud people had to be brought down a peg for a generation or so.
This was the Weimar Republic in Germany. People starved, begged, were jobless, and all and all, they were ready to take back their pride as a
people.
The United States is playing the same role, but with another motivation. They are the fiercely motivated country, but they have not yet had their
pride attacked (other than 9/11), to push them blindly into the larger conflict.
I mean, even the Nazis were Freedom Fighters before World War II, helping in the Spanish Civil War.
France was the helpless nation, who will play that part this time?
England was the morality police.
Now, in the year 2005, the US is the Judge, The Victim and the Executioner.
What will be the very specific loss that will touch every American?
The loss of a leader, perhaps?
It is speculation that makes it quite clear, the situation the world is approaching will not be easily defused. Many will feel the loss was
justified...
