If you want good Black Metal, stick with the non-commercial bands I say!
(Nargaroth, Velvet Cacoon, Abazagorath..)

have you ever checked "Type O Negative" ?

Ahh I see

Though I'd choose Cradle of Filth over DB anyday heh.

If you like the symphonic element of BM check out Hollenthon (side project of Pungent Stench member), Thyrane, Tvansgete, etc;

If you like the more raw side (for example, DarkThrone) I suggest you check out Velvet Cacoon, Krieg, Judas Iscariot, Grand Belial's Key, Krohm, etc;

And most importantly, Nargaroth's "Black Metal Ist Krieg" album heh.

EDIT:
And one more thing - one of THE most informative sites on the net for metal is Metal Archives - you can search by genre as well, so just type in "symphonic black metal" or something.

Hope that helps

Heres a good site that ranks metal artists
www.digitaldreamdoor.com...

Heres a good site where you can talk about anything metal

I gotta say, Dimmu Borgir is my least favoruite metal band altho they have a great drummer, Cradle of Filth and Children of Bodom are my 2 favvourites, oh and about Moonspell I saw them play a consert with Filth a couple years back. Wicked band

Nargaroth would be my fave, i still prefer my black and death old skool though, Venom, Celtic Frost, Angelwitch, Manila Road, Exxplorer.

I go here to find my metal.

The world metal alliance is also a good forum.
