Prophetic dreams.

My second ATS post!

My father told me this story, and swears by it. He isn't a conspirisist, he thinks there are no aliens, JFK was killed by one man, and that psychics are rediculous. He's a very level headed person, and not one to make stories up. That you'll just have to take my word on. Here's the story.

He and his college buddies were coming back from Virginia Beach to the Northern Virginia area. It's about a 3-4 hour drive. Part of the drive is through a thick wooded area without many cars. It was the middle of the night and raining very hard (which is why they left home early). My dad was in the front seat and had fallen asleep. He says that while sleeping, he had a dream that in the very car, on the very trip they were in, they had an accident where they hit two people sitting in the middle of the road. Jolted awake, he screamed, and his friends, startled, asked him what was wrong. He was too embarassed to talk about his dream, (like I said, he isn't that kind of person). His friend, however was driving very agressively and fast. So after about five minutes, he yelled at his friend angrily to slow down. This got him taunted (college friends, right?) They wanted to know why, and so eventually he cracked and said "I had a dream we hit some people, okay?" His friends got a little creeped and made the driver slow down. Not 60 seconds later, they went over a hill and lo and behold, two guys were sitting in the middle of the road, in the middle of nowhere, in the MIDDLE of the night, in the middle of a rainstorm. Dad said they would have surely hit them had he not said anything, and that no one said a word in the car for about 30 minutes, when one guy just said:

"Greg"
"Yeah?"
"Good call man.."

Then they all busrt out in laughter/sigh of relief.

Anyone else have thoughts on this or similar stories?

Well its a good story, i believe that its possible to see the future in a dream and also to alter that future. Its one of those subjects which is hard to prove because it's a personnel experience of the dreamer. Angels are said to visit in dreams to warn or give messages regarding the future.

The summer before my senior year in high school my parents took me to England and France for a month. While in Paris I had a dream that my boyfriend was driving a white truck, lost control, flipped the truck and was thrown out of the sunroof. I was confused because my boyfriend didn't own a white truck but I still woke up in a panic and wrote my dream down. The next day I was so upset I talked my parents into letting me call my boyfriend to be sure he was O.K. He was fine and promised he would drive safely and assured me he had no intention of getting rid of his BMW and buying a white truck!

Two weeks after my dream we arrived back in San Diego. My Moms best friend picked us up from the airport and gave us the run down on what had happened around town while we were overseas. She told us about an EX-boyfriend of mine who had been killed in an accident. He had been driving a new white truck, lost control, was thrown out of the sunroof and his truck rolled over him. He died instantly.

That was 20 years ago and to this day I have not had another experience like that.

i have something like this too, but im not seeing it in dreams , im seeing it in flashes, you know: watch for about 2 minutes in a bright light and close your eyes, i see a silhouette of a person or thing and make a theory and it comes true, and i also made some theory's without the flashes and they came also true (none was positive, all were negative.

Back in the 1980s, during the Cabbage Patch rage, I dreamed they'd come out with Cabbage Patch Twins.

They did, too--a few years later. I still have my set--twin girls.

I think it's a coincidence though.

Believe it or not, I actually had a dream about planes crashing into buildings like a week before 9/11. Definately not prophetic, though, I lived right next to a busy airport and the kids living in the apartment above me were stomping around with roller skates. A really weird coincidence though.

I have had some psysic visions. I believe when the visions warn of danger these would be from Angels..... Put I also believe people possess the ability to see beyond their physical vision...the mind too, has an eye, and can be trained. This is done (or in my case) without spiritism.

After doing a few searches I came upon this thread.
This is something that has been troubling for some time.

In the past 3 months I've had a couple of dreams on the same subject but different content.
The most important to me went like this...

I was outside, not sure of the time but it was day. I'm going to guess it was before noon because the sun was not in my eyes. I head this LOUD rush of rockets launching. Soon, I see MANY of them taking flight heading west.
I live in Denver, Colorado but this seemed to be taking place on the west coast.
I saw the rockets and exhaust SO clearly it was like an OOBE. After a few minuets I saw MANY aircraft of all types heading the same way (west). Twords the end of the dream, I had an overwhelming feeling of sadness and doom.

The second dream I can't remember the "footage" but I DO remember the same feeling of "doom and gloom"

Anyone have any similar type of dreams? Thoughts? Insights?

These dreams aren't my own but, they come from very reliable close friends; 2 brothers in the Lord to be exact in which I stay in close contact with 3x a week. I'll try and be as exact as possible in quoting the dreams...btw, both of my brothers had the dreams the exact same night like 3 weeks - month ago.

1~I was standing in a living room with about 10 of us and I suddenly felt like I needed to move in front of the living room window and put my hand out as if I was stiff-arming someone in football and start praying. Not 20 secs later, there was a loud boom and the entire window blew inward sending shards of glass everywhere! After a few seconds I thought for sure I would be shredded as well as everyone else.. but, as I opened my eyes, I was fine.. not a shred of glass on me .. and no one else for that matter. Everyone in the house was either down on the floor or still standing .. no one had a scratch!

2~I was outside of a house with William (a family member) when we were looking at a helicopter about 1/4 mile away hovering and all of the sudden, it lost control and turned completely on it's side and the main rotor hit a tree(?) and snapped a blade off sending hit straight at us!!! We raced back inside the house to get some cover and as we did, William ducked and I put my arms up in a X to cover my face and the blade tore thru the house stopped millimeters from my arms!!

~2a) That same night after waking up from that dream, I spen a few minutes praying and calming down a bit, I went back to sleep. However, I had another dream which was eerily similar to the same one I had just before! I was walking down some railroad tracks and a concrete wall was beginning to parallel my left side as if there was another RR track on the other side of the wall. As the wall was in exact parallel to my tracks I was walking down, I thought "hmmm.. wow.. I hope no train turns that conrer to sharp because it will surely jump the tracks..." About 30 secs later, I hear a train moving at a very fast pace, and as I got just to the place where the coner of the wall begins to straightens out something shoved me on the ground as the train jumped the tracks and crashed thru the concrete wall and went right over me!!!! The sound of twisted metal was all around me and the noise almost felt like it would break my eardrums even with my hands over my ears! After about a good 5 mins maybe more, it became deathly silent and I began to see if I was ok and realized I was and stood up and the train was completely mangled mess! You couldn't even tell it was a train except for the RR wheels still turning....!!!

I came out unscathed~~!
