Chemical pollution of the Earth

I think it is terrible that the Chemical industries are mass producing very harmful and toxic compounds without any kind of regard for the consequences of the effects of these chemicals on the environment and on our health. All in the name of profit. I think we should wake up to his and demand action from our governments to stop this practice.
I discovered just how real this is by working near chemical industry in the Netherlands. I developed bald patches (alopecia areata) due to compounds used to make fire retardent foams. These compunds are persistant in our environment and our FOOD CHAIN.

Luckily 4 years later after eating a lot of iodine I am pretty much cured :-)
