What if a secret society, gained enough financial strength or political power, that they were able to influence politics to suit thier views? Wouldn't that be opressive of the citizens of a free country? Do the views of a secret society reflect the majority view?
...
Seb, you seem to think that there is no problem with having two candidates from the same "fraternity," i strongly disagree. Democracy is not about having two "cookie cutter" candidates, who belonged to the same Secret society, and have the same values.

The example of Nader is very good. Really who is stealing votes frome who here? Nader represents a more liberal stance than kerry, why doesen't he represent the liberals?

And would you honestly like to see Nader in office? Or do you just NOT want to see Bush or Kerry in office? There's a big difference.

Two cookies from the same cutter? Because they were in the same college fraternity? Come on now, let's be serious shall we? Have you ever heard of a fraternity changing someone's political views? And I don't mean conspiracy theories about what you think goes on in Skull and Bones, I'm talking about factual knowledge.
