Yes, exactly like that. I don't care what some criminals and opportunists did here and there. In the vast majority of middle eastern countires, islam abolished slavery. It was really rife back 1400 years ago, but it quickly dwindeled away to almost nothing when islam came to be.

What gave you the idea that my rant is anti-america? I was merely defending the rights of former slaves. Is that anti-american to you?

This report on wordwide forced labour (slavery) came out just last week:

As you can see, they estimate that 12.3 million people are slaves, which is pretty staggering when you think about it.

I live in London and we have a big problem with women "imported" from Eastern Europe and forced to work as sex slaves in brothels. Some of them have to "see" up to 50 "clients" a day, and they can be sold on to other pimps like cattle. Everything about this is staggering, but who are the men who use these women? There must be thousands of them out there who use these brothels, how do they live with themselves?

I dont blame you, ignore the Facts, like Saudia Arabia didnt abolish slavery till 1960s or it still exists in two Muslim countries. If the facts dont fit our little agenda lets ignore them. At least you admit it goes on in other countries.

Now, I'm not trying to bash the Saudi's, but if you read the articles, you will see that slavery was not banned in the KSA until 1962. That's a far cry from when you say Islam stopped it.

Try typing in "slavery in Saudi Arabia" into Google and see what you find.

Yes I did, I understand your point on Islam and slavery. My point was that slavery was still a common practice in Saudi Arabia until it was banned in 1962. Others have pointed out that it is still going on in other Muslim countries (Africa). All the evidence I've seen so far seems to support this.

I also believe that there is a rather large underground slave industry in the world. Mostly dealing in the sex industry with women and young children.

Criminals ? hmmm well up until 1962 in Saudi it was normal business practice. I think this has got to do more with tribal reasons than Islam, but the Saudi's allowed it under Islam law.

The people running saudi arabia, are a bunch of greedy capitalist criminal pigs. Look at the house of saud.

It would be a missrepresentation of the facts, if the 95% of the rest of the islamic world, who abolished slavery a thousand years ago, are defamed by these criminal pigs who have a special place in HELL waiting for them, right next to the rest of the hypocrits.
